Very Disappointed - A/C Broken and Algae in Pool
We were very disappointed with this property. The pool was full of algae, and the air conditioner on the main floor did not work most of the time. The property manager attempted to repair the air conditioner by resetting the circuit breaker several times a day. It only worked for an hour or two each time it was reset. The house was uncomfortable most of the time, especially at night. We constantly communicated about the issue. Rather than engage with a HVAC repair firm, the property manager attempted to put a band aid on the issue.When we arrived, the pool was completely green with algae. See the attached picture. The pool maintenance company shocked the pool at the end of our second day. We were told not to use the pool for another day for safety reasons. Our stay was four days, so we only had use of the pool one day. Even then it was very cloudy.There were other issues that we considered minor, such as the small refrigerator not working, hardware in the bathrooms not installed, etc. Lack of air conditioning and pool, however, significantly detracted from our enjoyment of the property. We paid a premium for this house because of the pool. The property manager promised that we would receive a fair rebate. He has never made an offer for a rebate and has failed to answer several texts and phone calls. He has not responded to the VRBO complaint process and appears to have no intention of making things right.
