"This cabin is a great home base for exploring Denali. It’s around 20 minutes from the park entrance. There is a grocery store 3 minutes away and 49th State Brewing is also just a couple of minutes away (great place to eat). It’s very easy to find/well-marked. There are two cabins right next to each other, but the porch is positioned such that you get a private view (of mountains!) and don’t see the neighbors. "Although close to town, this could be a bad spot without at least an all wheel drive. Even though uphill from the river, there were flood warnings for the neighborhood and some of the area coming in had water a foot deep. The weather alerts said it could get deeper which was kind of unnerving. The internet and in turn the tv service was very spotty although this was a big deal for us but streaming was difficult and would cut off.
