"Glenn's place is paradise! The view, the house, the astronomy lesson in a spa overlooking the ocean, and on our last night we had a Southern Lights solar spectacular that we don't think we will ever see again. 360 degrees solar light show. Glenn is so helpful and we really had everything we need! This stay was beyond words really."

"Stayed with 6 adults didnt find it crampt was exactly what was listed and is a traditional kiwi bach. Only stayed 2nights wish we had of booked longer. Beautiful views lovely beaches short trip to oamaru and awesome friendly neighbours who helped with a flat tyre would totally book again might even plan my next trip."

"The tiny home was perfectly fine, amenities were good, and the bunny watching from the window was very cute. However the email that arrived just prior to check-in that advised the use of earplugs to block the sound of traffic and trains…well it was good advice, but arrived a little too late. The perpetual falling of objects from the trees overhead onto the metal roof of the house all together with the train rumbling through and trucks thundering by, lead to a less than decent sleep. "We had a great stay at the Kakanui Cube. The house is well-designed, modern, clean, with all the amenities you need (laundry, sharp knives, comfortable bed, plenty of space). We slept so well with the sea air nearby, and woke up early each morning to catch the magnificent sunrises. Equally enjoyable are the sunsets — the way Kakanui is situated you can enjoy both over the ocean. The house is in a rural area so WiFi bandwidth can be an issue — it may not be practical to expect to be on zoom calls...

"We booked the house for my birthday. My plan was to relax and have some quality time with family and our two dogs. The location is spectacular and the house was warm, clean and very thoughtfully appointed. The amenities were great, from stove to coffee machine. The one and only disappointment was the tv, but who needs a tv being in such a beautiful spot! A huge bonus point I want to give for friendliness, responsiveness and great communication with the owner/manager! Well done! We’ll be back!"
