And we were pleasantly surprised by how little traffic there was on Birch Bay Dr. It was quiet inside the cottage and out."

"Lovely view of the water. Nicely decorated. The bathroom (and sink) was incredibly small but owners made good use of the space with a small corner shelf and cabinet above. It was very clean. Enjoyed the gas fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. The washer and dryer are in the small garage shed next to the house. We didn’t see that info in the listing so had to call Vacasa. The new deck is really nice. The neighborhood is a mix of nice homes and not so nice but it seemed that’s the way it is in...

"Very comfortable house with a lovely deck. Really enjoyed the location- very close to Roche Harbor and easy drive to Friday Harbor. Quiet wooded neighborhood but water view and well away from the hubbub of the harbors. The island is Beautiful and we could have easily filled many more days. (We only had two). Susan was helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated her suggestions and advice."

"Being right on the beach was such a treat. The neighbors were very helpful, welcoming and kind. The downstairs shower was stopped up so we got some Drano and a plunger and were able to unclog it."

"My kids and I loved this place, the beach out front is perfect for families and the old school cozy cabin feel of the house was really fun. The house was stocked better than I've ever seen a vacation rental with little things that are appreciated like tissue boxes in every room, extra blankets, laundry detergent, sharp kitchen knives, etc. The fire pit out by the beach in the driftwood "forest" was perfect for a fire while the kids crawled among the driftwood. Great spot, we hope to return."

The house is so comfortable, plenty of room for our family and again the view is outstanding! Per other reviews, yes, there is some religious decor but it's not overwhelming or offensive.
