"Small and cute, could use a few little homey touches to make it more comfortable like a bath mat in the restrooms, stairs could use backing to feel safer for smaller children. And you pay a host fee but still was asked to strip the bed sheets and collect towels and start dishwasher. Overall no complaints and enjoyed the stay"

"Great beach access and walkability to restaurants, bike paths etc. Short drive to downtown and local attractions. Cute condo, well appointed. Only negatives were cleaning issues and noise (a sound machine would work!). Really nice stay!"

"The apartment is clean, comfortable, spacious, and nicely furnished. It's a pleasant walk to downtown St. Augustine. The only downside is that the walls in the building are very thin, so we often heard the neighbors walking around and talking. "

"We needed a place to stay for a few days as we were on our way to Sanibel from Charleston. We had our beloved dog, Ed, with us. 1st Street Retreat was perfect! We were welcomed with all types of “dog themed” decorative details. There was a grassy designated dog area within the fenced in yard. There was even a raised food and water dish inside. It was perfectly located across from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and coffee. And right across from the beach. And it was pristine! ...

"The water softener did wonders on my skin. I’ve underestimated the value of that. This is a nice quiet, clean location right next to the beach where it’s not crowded at all. Went for Nights of Lights. Had a great stay and the host is be egg communicative. Thank you for a great stay!"
