"We stayed in Idris. While comfortable and clean, there is almost no storage in the room and it's not really suitable for anyone over 5ft10in due to a low beam. While the breakfast service was frendly we felt it could have been more proactive towards the wants of the guests. For instance a couple clearly wanted a window table that had not been cleared. However, while this was observed by the staff, they were clearly expected to use the tables that were laid. This was not the only incident where...

"It's a beautiful lodge to arrive at. As guest in the outer accommodation be mindful the old architecture stops here. However, the rooms were soaps spacious and clean and over looked the extensive grounds."

"There isn't a minibar in the rooms and it's very hard to get bottles of water. The Gym is always very full, as is the pub and the restaurant, mostly with no guests. So, after a long day of work, you arrive at the hotel and have to struggle to get some food. The employees from the pub/restaurant are very unfriendly."

"Stone Court House was very welcoming even from pre arrival emails re parking etc . Very helpful. The owner, Saban was very informative and lovely to chat to. The whole place is very special, with lovely sitting areas and rooms. Our only thought, was if you have mobility issues, ask for a room on the ground floor, as there is no lift to the 3 floors. Also request one of the shower rooms. The others have a deep free standing bath with a shower hose, as we did, which can be tricky to get in/out of...

"Very cosy and warm, steep steps up to room and parking a few minutes walk away. A wonderful view to wake up to overlooking the river Medway. No breakfast inc and it’s not clear reading the other reviews, I think it’s overpriced without breakfast. We enjoyed our stay but I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately. If you are a light sleeper noisy traffic in the background also. The host was friendly. "
