Come and stay at our cozy yet spacious cabin that is located near all the attractions the Catskill Mountains can offer.

Nestled at the base of Hunter Mountain on a dead-end street we are less than a mile away from the Hunter ski resort on a quiet dead-end street. Close to a number of trails, hiking routes, ziplining, golf courses, water tubing, and nearby towns as well! The lake is behind the house, the river is in the front and Hunter Mountain is right next to us. The possibilities are endless for the outdoor adventurer!

The cabin is located on a quiet dead-end street. Our home offers: 4 bedrooms, 3 FULL baths, and an open space concept perfect for entertaining family and friends. Enjoy our large wrap-around deck and cook a meal with our Weber BBQ. Soak in our large clawfoot tub for a spalike rest after a long day of hiking! Or cozy up near the fire pit in the evening. to enjoy some s'mores and talks by the fire! Large TV with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Youtube... Free WIFI.

Owner-managed and cleaned. We take pride in our house and guests.
Contact us with any questions. We'll make sure your stay will be safe and comfortable. We only ask that patrons respect our home as though it were their own.
There is a security camera pointing at the driveway. If this is an issue let us know.
Pet fees are $20 a day per pet.

We thoroughly loved our stay! Simple but perfect. 3 full bathrooms was great!! Close enough to walk to a great coffee shop and enjoy the beautiful sites. A/C always appreciated in the warm weather (thank you!). We would stay here again for sure.

Bookclub Getaway

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this home. It was clean and very comfortable. I booked it because we were a group of 5 friends and there were enough beds and rooms that everyone had their own space to sleep. The kitchen and home had everything we needed, and more. We used this as our home base to visit the Hobart book village and Woodstock. It was a warm weekend and the air conditioning in the house worked great! We also enjoyed the fire pit and large porch/deck. The owner was very friendly and helpful, as well.

We were celebrating our anniversary, so it was just 2 of us, so this place was more than we needed, but still felt cozy. Mario was very helpful and responsive. The house was very clean and well-appointed. We really enjoyed the style of the house as well. Would definitely rent again when back in the area.

Awesome Stay

We had a wonderful stay with friends. The property is located in the most perfect spot, just minutes from the ski mountain and restaurants and shops in town. The house itself is phenomenal, well stocked, and extremely comfortable. Villa Gran Sasso is a great place to stay. Check in was easy and it is hard to beat how close to the mountain it is to Hunter. The rooms were comfortable and the owners were extreamy responsive to any question I had. Thank you for a great experience.

Our family had an excellent winter getaway at this cabin. The check-in process was easy and access to the mountain and the towns made for a great stay. Highly recommend for families with multiple young children.

Fantastic!

We had a great time at Villa Gran Sasso. I stayed for 4 nights with my wife, toddler, and in-laws (mother, father, sister boyfriend). The space was perfect, the location to hunter mountain was ideal, just 5 mins to drop-off / parking lot. The house was very clean, and had all the essentials. Mario is a great host, clearly experienced and knows what he is doing.I recommend staying at Villa Gran Sasso. I would definitely do it again if I go back to Hunter Mountain.

Cozy getaway

We had an amazing little stay! The cabin/house was so cozy and the layout was perfect for my family. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. My little one and fur baby appreciated all the room they had! Mario was an amazing host and answered all our questions and gave us plenty of information on the places around us. Fall in the Catskills

This is a rustic mountain cabin with all the modern amenities. It has 3 bedrooms on the main floor and with 2 bathrooms and a bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. We used it as our a permanent place to stay while exploring the area from the mountains to the Hudson Valley. The host was very attentive before, during and after our stay.

Well appointed home with charming features and nice decor. There are homes surrounding if you're looking for ultimate privacy. We went mid week and didn't see anyone. Firepit chats were nice and easy access to all surrounding areas. Host is very nice and easily accessible if you need anything.

Snow tubing weekend

Cozy and well maintained home, Mario is an outstanding and responsive host! One of the main reasons I booked the property (despite the high cost for one night) was because of the reviews, all of which were spot on. Unfortunately we couldnā€™t enjoy the exterior fire pit or porch as we hoped due to the rain but the inside was a fun spot for game night with our family of 6 laughing around the table. So much space for 3 adults and 3 teens it was perfect, especially with 3 bathrooms. Our snow tubing adventure at Hunter was not the best thanks to the weather but Mario saved the day with his recco to Kaaterskill falls - we hiked down to the lower falls the next day and it made our weekend! we will be back in the summer to explore more of the outdoors and will definitely return to this cabin. One feature that would have been great is a washer/dryer - we got soaked on the tubing hill and I would have loved to do a quick wash and dry. Other than that no complaints! Highly recommend you book it! (A huge plus was not having an additional cleaning fee as Mario and his wife handle their own!)

Stunning immaculately clean cabin; cozy with four bedrooms and three bathrooms!

Mario the owner, was friendly, very accommodating and helpful. His cabin is beautiful immaculate with plenty of room for our family of ten. The kitchen was well stocked with top of the line appliances. The cabin is situated at the base of Hunter Mountain which made skiing and snowboarding convenient. Also the town offered many things to do and the outdoor fire pit was great for getting together, laughing and making sā€™mores!! Our family excitedly anticipates our yearly ski-cation and our time at the Sasso cabin was wonderful and memorable! We will definitely stay there again

Cozy ski getaway

We stayed three nights at this property over the holiday break and it was the perfect rental for our familyā€™s ski trip to Hunter Mountain. The cabin is so close to the mountain which was very convenient for going back and forth with our kids. Mario was an incredible host; so easy to communicate with and available for any questions we had. The cabin was really clean and super cozy, a perfect ski retreat. Couldnā€™t have found a better place in the Hunter Mountain area.
