"My wife, son (3yrs), and I stayed at the Angler Cabin for 3days/ 2nights. The description was accurate and cabin was well looked after/ clean. Directions were accurate (Google Maps was able to locate property no problem) and we were well prepared with some food/ drink supplies so we could make sure of the small kitchen. The road leading to the cabin is truly 10-15min of near off-road driving so winter condition could play a huge role in someone's stay by my 4WD truck had no issue.We spend a full...

"Great getaway with 2 adults, tween and child. There was enough room for all. The nook was a hit with the kids. The area was very quiet and relaxing. It snowed while we were there and the roads were plowed fast. House was very clean and well stocked. There was plenty of cookware and spices available. Would definitely come back. "

"We made a great choice in choosing the Riverfront Retreat for our Thanksgiving celebration. The large dining table fit our group and its close proximity to the kitchen made serving and cleanup a breeze. One bedroom is set apart from the others which worked perfectly for one couple who ducked out at 5am to catch a flight out of Dulles (about an hours drive) without disturbing others in the group. We enjoyed hiking in Seven Bends State Park and even toured the Shenandoah Caverns (a short drive)....

"The owner communicated well and was very responsive. The fireplace stove was great and we used the hot tub every day. Kitchen was well stocked. We cooked almost every meal and had everything we needed. The office space is a nice, private, comfortable space, as well. "

"The cabin was great! I was afraid that it would be overly cute, but it was appointed very nicely. Everything you could want is there. We had an issue with the lights, (not the host's issue) because of a storm, and the owner was extremely helpful. Even when my husband set off the fire alarm by frying bacon... I would totally recommend this, we were 6 people and one very large dog, and everyone ( even the baby) enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!"

"Very friendly service! Great location. Nice that they have a happy hour for guests. The restaurant is delicious! Rooms are a little worn, the towel quality is terrible, and the heating system blasts heat then shuts off so it’s very inconsistent in terms of temperature. "
