Well appointed--comfortable mattress, beautiful bedding, great bathroom--comfortable couch and small table for eating. Excellent value. More than 1 venue for food--different styles. We only sampled breakfast--the granola parfait was perfect. "

"This place is heaven on earth. Absolutely stunning grounds and the cottage is gorgeous! Immaculate! Paul and Julie welcomed us on arrival and were so informative. Hillary went out of her way to take us to get groceries as we were without acar. Loved them all! We can't say enough good about these folks. Would definitely stay there again!"

"This cottage was in a beautiful, quiet location, close to the Vindolanda Museum. It has a well-appointed kitchen, three bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom (one down, two upstairs), and plenty of parking space. The welcome amenities were over the top! We had everything we needed for our first breakfast, and then some. Our host was very responsive to questions. A couple of suggestions, though. "Weather was bad for the first few days, but the cottage was lovely and cosy. We stovked up on food and enjoyed some family time. When weather improved we were able to enjoy several locations. It was a lovely qiuet lication perfect for de-sttessing, helped by the ducks."

"Was left over chinese takeaway in fridge. Bed sheets were disgusting, lots of hairs and stains. Cups were unwashed. Decking was so slippy, green molud, nearly had a bad fall. Fold away chairs in main bedroom which seems to be from outside had spider nets. We came home after being there few hours and was meant to stay 4 nights. We were so disappointed, angry, deflated as saved up our hard earned cash for our 4 nights away and ended us coming home before we should have. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little gem on the outskirts of the Lake District. Communication with the owner is very friendly, the house itself is very clean and cozy, equipped with everything we could have wanted.
