"The Thomas Guard house made it a memorable stay in Hilo, where we came for a special family celebration. There are four large upstairs bedrooms, plus one off the dining room and two on the lower floor where the children in our group slept. "Overall, it was a good stay, and I would stay here again. The view and sounds of the ocean were amazing as promised. The beds were comfortable, which is a huge priority for me. The location is not super convenient to activities, but it is a quiet neighborhood. The only major complaint for us was the living room furniture. Every piece was uncomfortable and falling apart. There was no really comfortable place to sit together and chat. "

"The property is absolutely stunning, beautiful and private. Its location was perfect for us to explore the Hilo side of Hawaii and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park area. We loved the peacefulness of the view from the guest house and koi pond. It was a great stay...even the coki frogs croaking at night helped make it a unique experience."

"If you go to the Big Island, this is where you want to stay. The view is the best. We saw sea turtles every morning. It was less than 10 minutes from a good-sized farmer's market. All the stuff in Hilo is just 30 minutes away. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults. Lots of beach gear! Thank you."
