Our beautiful 60 x 65 foot completely fenced in backyard provides you with the privacy you deserve and peace of mind knowing your pet has plenty of leg room to romp about. Unlike most properties in this community, ours is flat without dangerous rocks jetting out of the ground or steep slopes and is equipped with a spectacular 4 foot diameter burn area circular fire pit with firewood provided, hand made Guatemalan Hammock, a gas grill, table with 4 chairs, and Adirondack chairs - the perfect environment for a family and friends get together for a BBQ.

Enjoy Wireless internet throughout the home / back yard and YouTube Live TV . The living room features a HUGE 65 INCH FLAT SCREEN TV with an XBOX One S & a Playstation 4 which play CDs, DVDs, Blue-rays and have activated Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Commercial Free Hulu Plus Accounts giving you access to thousands of movies and TV shows at the touch of a button. Video gamers rejoice because the XBOX One S & PS4 are loaded with a staggering amount of top notch awesome games and we also offer an Authentic Coin Op Arcade Cabinet as well. With 100s of games from all genres, satisfying gaming experiences can be had by young and old, casual and hardcore gamers alike. We also offer a 40 inch flat screen TV in the master bedroom with YouTube TV live and streaming Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

Highland Lakes Cottage features 3 bedrooms (Bedding Provided) - 1 Queen & 2 Fulls (All Memory Foam Mattresses), 1 full bathroom (Tub, Shower, Toilet, Sink), 1 Laundry Room with commercial coin op washer and dryer, and an 8 x 20 Sun Room, Living Room / Dining Room, and a spacious Kitchen with a Waist High Oven (no bending) Ample parking is also provided in the front yard.

Guests have access to any one of the 5 lakes with a total of 7 beaches in the community (no gasoline powered boats permitted on the lakes) to enjoy life guarded swimming & great fishing. Great hiking & boat rentals are only 12 min away at Waywayanda State Park.

Right on the corner of our block, just a 3 minute walk away, you will find a beautiful lake with baseball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis courts, jungle gym, and a concession stand with a bathroom as well. Enjoy long walks, bike rides, or a jog down winding country roads.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area as well ... Snow Ski Resort, Water Park, Bike Park, Golf, and Zipline Tours 10 minutes away, Swimming, Fishing, Boating, Hiking, Restaurants, Drive-In Movie Theater, Regular Movie Theater, Wineries, Mountain Biking, Mini Golf, Indoor Ice Skating, Bowling, Laser Tag, Horseback Riding, Museums, Paintball, Skydiving, Zoo, Specialty Shops, Hot Air Balloon Rides, State Parks, Mall Shopping, Farmers Markets, Antique Shops ... oh and did I mention Relaxation ...

With the economy at its worst, isn't it nice to know that an affordable private paradise awaits you for your family vacation, snow ski adventure, or romantic getaway!

Highland Lakes is a Private Community in which all residents are registered with the town. As per a New Town Ordinance, all renters / tenants must pay a registration fee (Mandatory Fee added to each booking automatically) and must provide me with the First and Last Name of each member of your party, including minors, the Home Address and telephone number of the person who booked the reservation as well as state and plate info for vehicles. I am required to provide you with a copy of the By-Laws which you will find in the compartment of the coat rack mirror at the entrance of the cottage.

During the Summer Months, registered tenants my obtain parking decals & beach tags at $2 per day per tenant. Beach tags may obtained in the club house office, I suggest bringing an ID with you in case you are asked for it.

$ 85.00 Pet Fee applies where applicable. We do not allow cats.

Holiday Fees are built into your quote and apply where applicable.

We had a great time here. The beds were comfortable, the lakes were perfect, and everyone was so nice. I definetly recommend Beach one which is within walking distance. There were 2 playgrounds and a concession stand there as well. We were a short drive from Lego land and it was just an hour to Newark from where we took the train to NYC. Would love to stay here again.

Good weekend getaway with the dogs

For the dogs: our dogs enjoyed the big fenced-in backyard. There's also a HUGE fenced-in dog run a few minutes drive away. For the humans: My wife and I enjoyed the gaming options (Xbox, Playstation, and an arcade machine). There's a nice little town a few minutes drive away, with a supermarket, CVS, and decent coffee and food options.

The beds, bathroom and kitchen were clean. We enjoyed the gaming systems a great deal. We also enjoyed to outdoor space with firepit and hammock. My kids enjoyed the outdoor toys and ability to fill up and small kids pool to play. Beach 1 was very close to the house but walking there would have been a challenge with 2 young kids on a somewhat busy road. Overall, we had a good time. The owner was quick in responding to my questions and concerns and made adjustments with our needs which was appreciated. I was not thrilled having to pay to use the washer and dryer and the home does need some updating.

K My family of 5 and 2 dogs were in the area for the wedding and this property was perfect for all our needs. Michael the host checked in with us upon arrival and ensured that we knew he was there if we needed him. In addition, the property was full of detailed instructions of how to navigate the household and how to stay safe. My children loved the coin operated arcade and by using quarters it limited their time (so they can go outside and enjoy the fresh mountain air!). Everything was just as Michael had outlined on VRBO and his emails. The mattresses were nice and comfortable, we had access to on site coin operated laundry facilities just for us in case we needed it, the air conditioning operated well, and the TV was big and provided us access to watch the Olympics and pretty much any thing else we wanted (something I was not looking for but really helped at night). We did not get a chance to explore the area as much as we wanted to (but donā€™t worry, we will be back), but we were able to walk the dogs around on a road behind the house that gave us beautiful views of the lake, we did notice that we had easy access to delicious Jersey pizza, and if we wanted, could go to the water park or legoland. Finally, having dogs, it was nice to have a fenced in yard and space to place our crates. Our dogs loved the new smells and were exhausted when we came back home. We are definitely going to stay here again and would definitely recommend this property for any one with a family of

Perfect weekend

My family was down for the Spartan race weekend. The property is in a perfect location for proximity to the mountain, as well as Beaches and playgrounds for the kids. It comfortably fit four adults and two kids, and the fenced yard was great for the dog. Michael is a thoughtful and responsive owner, and we are looking forward to staying again next time we are down.

Overall Great Stay, but some words of caution.

My stay here for an extended weekend was certainly nice. The cottage while on the smaller end is very nice from a design standpoint and the fenced in backyard is really amazing especially since Michael is extremely welcoming to dogs which we greatly appreciated. My experience with Michael was great and he made sure check in was easy and checked in on us after the first day at the cottage, really nice! I have to be 100% honest with my review despite having such a good experience with Michael, I have to say the listing is not totally accurate as the master bedroom does not have a memory foam mattress. My wife and I constantly fell into the middle of the bed, making sleeping difficult for us who are used to a firmer mattress. I have to also say that itā€™s very shocking to see a coin operated washer/dryer in the unit, with a cash machine, and a coin operated arcade game, all were a first for me in the many years Iā€™ve been using rentals like this. And I mean good business, and definitely capitalism at its finest itā€™s just off putting and takes away from the charm you want when renting a VRBO. The only other issue happened on the second night there when the fire detector went off at 3am twice. It was also extremely hot, as the main thermostat was under a hotel style lock box, so while AC units are there, it battled with the heat, which I would assume costs more money then giving ppl access to the temp control but we made it work. Overall 4/5

Highland Cottage stay

Easy to find and navigate from. We were there for my sister in lawā€™s memorial service . Weather did not permit us to use or discover all the things to do there. Hopefully the next trip we will. Highland lakes Cottage

We stayed in the house for a week, we liked it a lot, and the backyard for my dog was completely closed with fences. there are several beaches, lakes around, we kayaked, there are supermarkets nearby, and we even went to Kalahary an hour and a half from the house, thanks Mike, we will rent again soon

Clean

Great house for family. Nice fenced in backyard to keep the dog and toddler close and safe. Home was clean and just as described. The beach is beautiful but it was too early in season for swimming. Lifeguards on duty only weekend and everyday starting June 24. Will plan on returning but later in season to enjoy the beaches and water park. We went to Castle fun center and enjoyed our stay!

Great Little Cottage

My husband is through hiking the Appalachian Trail and we needed a place to stay for a long weekend so he could rest. This cottage was the perfect place to stay. Itā€™s located only eight minutes from the Stairway to Heaven parking area of the AT. The owner was attentive and answered all of our questions. The cottage had everything we needed. The fenced backyard was an added bonus so we didnā€™t have to take our two small dogs out on leashes. Thank you for a great stay!

Very dog friendly

Convenient location to lakes and mountain. We chose this because we had dogs and he had a secured fenced in back yard. It was perfect. I also got the high score on the Ms Pac Man game. Thanks Mike, you rock
