"Stayed with a few friends over the weekend. It was so lovely; the views, the surrounding bush and the sense of retreat. The library is amazing if you are a literary geek. Loved all of the detail in the woodwork. Unfortunately one of us snapped her achilles the day before and I will say that the property is tricky to navigate in crutches. But we had a great time - thank to Portobello Pub for dinner."

"Property is in very good condition. Great bed, excellent heating, extremely clean and fresh. It is in the city and was therefore getting noise from the street. Now I should add I’ve been in national parks for 2 weeks where it has been extremely quiet and this was my first city, so noise was probably appropriate for a city and I was just very used to the countryside… so probably not very fair saying it was noisy…"

"We were in unit 2B. When you open the door you walk straight into the bathroom, then through to the bedroom/living. The bathroom has a rain shower head near the middle of the room, looks great but the entire room, including the toilet gets soaked. The tiles were also extremely slippery when wet. There is no housekeeping or anyone onsite. Codes are emailed to you. An interesting stay but definitely form over function."

"We enjoyed our stay here, a lovely spot right on the side of the river. The bach was well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfy stay. "Really enjoyed the location. Was able to take long walks on the beach while still being close to Dunedin for access to its restaurants. House was large enough for multiple adults and had both washer and dryer which was convenient as this was a stop in a longer trip. We really appreciated the electronic keypad entry since we had people coming and going on different schedules. Would definitely stay hear again if I was ever in the area."
