"The hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. Ultimately like any hotel it’s just a building; however, what sets this building apart is the staff. We stayed two nights and from the outset we were made to feel like old returning friends. Special mention goes to restaurant staff Nathan, Bessy and Coulay (I guarantee that I’ve misspelt that), also to night desk staff member Andrew. If I have need of a hotel in Newport again I can’t imagine choosing anywhere else. Great service. "

"The cellar may not be for everyone but I loved it. Spacious, quiet, well equipped with additional kitchen extras, comfortable, good wifi, own parking space and a friendly and knowledgeable host Nick. It was cool when I arrived but soon warmed up. The area is good for hiking and the Clifton Suspension Bridge is just a 30 mins walk. Also has a good pub nearby along with a bus stop to get into Bristol."

"Easy access. Easy parking. Very chic, combination of American motel and Swedish style. Lovely wood smell as you climb stairs to 1st & 2nd floor, from all the lovely wood panelling. "The place is amazing, for sure it has become my favorite hotel in Stroud. Location is good, around 20 minutes walk to town center.
