Quiet and natural setting. 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home located on private 3 acre lake, nestled on 40+ beautiful wooded acres.

Part of the quiet experience includes no wi-fi, tv and limited cell service.

Catch and release fishing available at your leisure.

Single person flotation devices permitted on private lake. Play area available for the kids. Large fire pit area included, with first firewood furnished. Adirondack chairs for comfort around the fire pit. Bring your outdoor games and have a ball.

Put your feet up and enjoy very relaxing get away vacation from the city. Or enjoy grilling outside on the gas grill.

Gather for your favorite crafting get-away, or just to rekindle friendships and/or family ties.

Pets may be welcome. Please contact owners for additional details.

āœ” 39 acres of the property are leased for hunting from October 1, 2023 through November 30, 2023. There is ample hunting opportunity in the Manistee National Forest which is only yards away.
āœ”Contact if dates are blocked. It may be cleaning dates only that may be able to be adjusted.

For reservations between December 1 and March 31, please contact the owners. These are blocked, as they will be weather dependent.

This is our family vacation home. Everything is "standard," and set for family use. It is not commercialized or special sized.

A great getaway

Our family enjoyed our stay! We had four generations under one roof. Without device screens or wifi, everyone shared time & memories together! We enjoyed playing many of the board games, evenings by the fire, roasting sā€™mores, stargazing, even got to see the Perseid meteor shower! The neighborhood felt safe yet secluded. The pond was clean and big enough for swimming, floating & fishing. It was not as private as I thought it would be, (connected to the campground next door) but it was separate enough for our group. We spent our days there. Like others have mentioned, this is not a glamorous or fancy place, but is clean, homey & welcoming. A quintessential country home. Things are well stocked & labeled. Easy to settle into. Everyone was comfortable. Owner was super nice and communicative. Thanks Pat for sharing it with us!

Great family get away

Was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 3 kids. Privacy, with your own swimming hole, fishing, fire pit and plenty of room for all our outdoor games. Perfect large dining table and 3 bathrooms. We had planned some excursions, but had plenty to do here and enjoy family time.

We were on a family fishing trip

This location was close to our fishing location. We loved the big back yard and the huge dining room table. Plenty of room for us all to play games. This would have been perfect if the beds were more comfortable.

Beautiful nature scenery away from WiFi

The owners are very attentive. The swimming hole was great bottom and good shallow area on the campground side. Play set needs to be updated and safer. Railing on inside isnā€™t safe for little children. Overall great little getaway for peace and quite. Donā€™t depend on gps after M20 it will take you on an adventure get further directions from owners theyā€™re great.

Great place to unplug with the family

We really enjoyed this property. It was just what we were looking for a weekend away with family. We enjoyed the large yard, swimming area, kayaking, fishing, and fire pit. The house has everything we needed for the weekend! We loved that it had a large enough table for all of us to eat at and also play games. It was a beautiful property and lots of amenities. We would love to visit again! The host were amazing and communication was great!

We Enjoyed Being Unplugged

Pat was a good host. She came around Daily to make sure we had what needed. The kids enjoyed the small lake. Our 1 year old was in the water quite a bit and was good with the temperature. The large property gave us a lot of room to do exploring. No cell service (with Verizon) which we werenā€™t sure about at first ended up being a big positive for us. Pats place Is peaceful and relaxing and being unplugged only helps with that relaxation.

Great for everyone 8 to 62 years old!

Pat was a wonderful hostess; quick to respond and so happy to help. We had 5 adults, a 12 year old and an active 8 year old. We loved all the space inside and out for being together! We used the fire pit with the great chairs two evenings fsā€™mores and having family time. We floated on the lake one evening. Loved being an hour away from Grand Haven and Pete Marquette beaches.Highly recommend the USS LST 393 museum ship in Muskegon. Every age group enjoyed it. Highly recommend Putters Creek for go carts, mini golf and especially jelly ball (think low impact paint ball). Loved it! God bless you, Pat!

Amazing host and great place

Pat was amazing at making sure we were accommodated. The place is a gem and we were extremely impressed. We were excited to see the gates for the small children and plenty of activities for them to do too. Definitely stay here! Being off grid with hardly any cell service was a breath of fresh air and much needed.

A great place!!

We really enjoyed our stay. This was our second time here. The house is well stocked. Our kids loved playing on the beach and in water. We took bike rides, walks and played many games of horseshoes at the campground. It was a relaxing few days for all of us!

First time booking VRBO and I sure did pick the cream of the crop. Had a first time girls weekend with my aunt, sisters, daughter, and nieces and we had the best time. No WiFi was the perfect setting for us to be able to reconnect. Hazelā€™s Hideaway impressed us beyond words, so clean and had anything and everything we needed. Pat the owner was so very helpful and kind. Canā€™t recommend this place enough.

Grandpa and Grandma weekend

The house was very clean and well suited for our gang. We enjoyed our meals around the large table and the well appointed kitchen made preparation easy. The spacious yard was just right for game and the fire pit was very nice.
