East Battle Lake Cabin, Battle Lake MN

You will love this affordable cabin on East Battle Lake. East Battle Lake is an excellent fishing lake in all seasons. This 2-bedroom 1 bath property gives you a true Minnesota cabin feeling and will provide memories for a lifetime! Bedroom one has two twins, and bedroom two has a full-size bed. Both couches are sofa sleepers as well. This is the perfect spot for a fishing getaway with your friends or family. The home is heated by forced air, and just recently had a mini-split a/c installed in August of 2022.

The cabin comes with a dock, boat lift and pontoon lift for your use. If you need a boat, we also offer pontoon and boat rentals.

The cabin features a charcoal Weber grill and a picnic table.

The house will offer kitchen utensils, basic pots & pans, full linens, a microwave, 2 tables with 8 chairs, a toaster, a 32" smart TV, and strong Wi-Fi!
This cabin is little more on the rustic side but still a amazing place to stay. Pets are allowed with a fee.

Do not miss out on this great summer cabin. Please note the ac mentioned is a mini split.

Nice older cozy cabin
The cabin is a small, cozy retro cabin that has a smell just like it looks. It reminded me of the exact same cabins we would stay at as a kid vacationing in the area. The boat launch was too small for our boat and with two lifts in the water we had to pull our boat out everyday as there isn’t even room to dock the boat.

No one likes to be watched
It was probably the worst vrbo experience I've had with my family. Wasn't given a door code, couldn't get into the home, didn't know why host didn't communicate through vrbo secured inbox as any other host has, being watched by your neighbors accross the street was uneasy feeling all weekend. If you have small kids or elderly be cautious its a steep hill down to the dock. Fish cleaning house while nice theres no light,or running water,and you're told to freeze the fish guts and take them with you. We discarded immediately..lets not forget the tub full of nats bc there was water standing in the drain and hair on the walls, and didn't look clean. The twin beds were extremely uncomfortable and both pullout couches had food in them when pulled out so the cleaning crew is less than par. It was on quiet road close to public landing. The neighbors on both sides were not their however we met an unpleasant neighbor when her dog wondered into the yard and she started yelling to leave her dog alone when my nephew was trying to get the dog to go back to her. Fishing was good. Overall it was less than par and wouldn't stay again.

This was a great cabin. Everything that was advertised was accurate. Cozy, quiet, and relaxing. Good fishing and great for boating. Would stay there again.

Fishing home base
Our group stayed at the cabin on a Thursday through Sunday morning. We were fishing the majority of the time during our stay and used the property as a home base. It served its purpose very well and we would go back. Having the boat lift available for use was very nice.

Fishing was good. Rental not.
The full size bed is shot. It sinks-in in the middle which made it impossible to sleep. The front sink panel fell off and hit my spouse’s foot, cutting top of foot. It was only held with thin short nails. Afraid to use wash cloths or towels bc if stained I would be charged (just tell people to bring their own). Hotels don’t even do this! Since when do you not have a place to throw fish guts and expect your renters to take home! No place to dock boat like we were told. The lift was not in good shape or big enough for our boat, Had to pull pontoon in and out everyday. Wish I knew it was good for a certain size good thing boat ramp close by. Oh and patio door needs major repair.

Nice clean place on a smaller more protected lake , couldn’t use the boat slip because our boat was too big , would have been nice to have a fish cleaning station close but great get away spot close to lots of lakes to explore.

charming retreat
This is a somewhat rustic cabin with some quirks, as you might expect from an older property. The interior was very clean and exactly as photographed. The kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked and the bedding seemed new. The dock has a wonderful bench built in for sitting and reading or just watching the water. We found it charming and hope to stay there again!

Needs some updating on interior, lighting is lacking, missing some listed items, repairs needed on screen door or flys will get you. Could use some exterior chairs for enjoying a fire. Fishing off dock great. Advise renters of zebra mussels, use water shoes. Porch is fantastic!

Only used for sleeping
We only used the cabin for sleeping - family nearby. Air conditioner worked great but did not reach back bedroom. No fans on property. The twin beds were okay, but the queen was saggy and you could feel the springs. We combined both mattresses on the sofa sleepers into one, still uncomfortable. Sofa sleeper near air conditioner had a broken leg, sloping to one side. Deck and picnic table were covered in spider webs that we tried to clean off with broom - gross. Inside was clean, good shower, kitchen was well stocked. Dark - all paneling as in pictures. Pretty view of lake, but beach front was rocky and weedy. Would not stay here again

Cute Cabin
This was a very cute cabin and in a perfect location for our ice fishing weekend. The cabin was clean and well equiped with necessities. There may have been some miscommunication with the owner, I asked specifily before booking if there was a washer and dryer and was told yes "there is a washer and dryer" ( I have the correspondence). Upon arrive I saw there was only a washer and contacted the owner through VRBO asking where the dryer was, this message was never answered. A dryer when ice fishing is very helpful! ( or anytime for that matter) I also messaged to ask if checking in 2 hours early was possible this message also went unanswered. So it seems there is no way to contact the owner once you pay for the booking. This might be mainly a summer cabin that is not used much in the winter as there was a dead mouse in the basement and we also heard very active critters (mice, squirrels) in the walls in the large bedroom and the bathroom. We chose to stay in the bedroom with the 2 twin beds instead off the larger bedroom due this activity, we did not hear it in the smaller bedroom. Also it was difficult to deal with our trash as the trash can provide was buried in the snow and it took us sometime to get it unburied so we had a place to put our trash when transfering from the cabin to checkout. We had a nice weekend and did not let these inconveniences bother us but others might not be so inclined. Thank you.
