Cozy Cabin North GA Mountain

Perfect mountain get-a-way less than 2 hours north of Atlanta. Nestled away between the Chattahoochee National Forest and Lake Nottley sits our 2 bedroom, 1 full-bath cabin. Located just 10 minutes from Blairsville and 30 minutes from Murphy, NC.

Things to do near the cabin: boating, hunting and fishing, boat and jet ski rentals, biking both road and mountain, kayaking, hiking, and horse back riding a mile from the house. There are several Georgia State Parks close by the cabin including Brasstown Bald and Vogel. In addition, there is the newly opened Harrah's Casino in nearby Murphy, NC.

Our cabin offers all of the modern conveniences (dishwasher, Internet, cable TV, and an outdoor grill). Our screened in outdoor patio is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee and a good book while our outdoor deck offers prime star gazing and outdoor dining options. Our full kitchen includes all modern appliances and the ever important coffee pot.

We have owned the cabin for several years and have just now started renting it out to others as we feel our little slice of the mountains should be shared with others. We have two young children who for years have gone off to explore in the woods to find all sorts of interesting plants, insects, trees and animals. They love to go swimming in Lake Nottely which can easily be accessed through a short walk in the woods.

For those of you who own kayaks, canoes, or boats, feel free to bring your vessel and gear and enjoy a day out on the lake. Lake Nottely is known for its stripper and catfish and our kids often catch small white bass with live worms from the banks. Good sunny spots with wind are great fishing spots up there. In addition, please feel free to harvest nice worms from our garden area.

Rustic cabin
The cabin was clean from what we could tell but in need of some updating. The living room furniture was really worn and uncomfortable. The flooring and kitchen counter top sorely needs replacing . We couldn’t tell if the floor and counter top were clean.No washer and dryerThe parking was inconvenient due to the stairs that we had to go up and down to get to the cabin. We are in our 60s while we navigated the stairs it was not easy unloading and loading our car. There was no lighting to the outside area so it made it difficult to walk the dog at night even though we had flashlights. I fell outside while Walking my dog one evening because I couldn’t see where I was going. Not really ADA friendly. We booked the cabin 10/31 to 11/4 but left on 11/2 because we weren’t enjoying out stay. anything. We

Amazing little spot!
The cabin was just right. The location was perfect for the plans we had. The walk to the lake was so nice! Would definitely consider staying again when we come back. Loved the neighborhood dog! What a sweet girl!

We recently stayed in this cabin. Kitchen was well equipped. Screened porch lets you get away from the bugs. Next door neighbor’s dog kept ours entertained! Wish there had been two rockers on the porch to enjoy the rain! Pulled our boat into the parking pad.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a nice cool retreat from the heat of Florida. The cabin was very clean and orderly. My husband and are avid readers and the cabin could use more end tables and lamps in the living room but overall we made do. The neighborhood was a little secluded with not too many other houses, a plus for us. Will consider a return in the future. other houses so very little traffic

Overall cleanliness and condition not what we expected. Gutters full of leaves, exterior not pressure washed in quite some time, screens in need of repair, no blow dryer, no access to washer and dryer (owner did indicate had we called he would have given us code for downstairs), undercounters in disarray, stove dirty and wouldn't come on without lighting; which we opted not to do. Our general assumption when leasing VRBO is there is a washer dryer/blowdryer/etc. from our previous experiences.

My husband and our two dogs rented this property for our anniversary. The cabin was very clean, cozy and reasonably priced! We had no issues during our stay and the area was very quiet even though fairly close to neighbors.
