Nestled on a hill overlooking sloping green meadows and a picturesque horse pasture, this charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental, ‘Frogmore,’ is the ideal backdrop for your next getaway to Gloucester. Launch your kayak on York River, hit the beach, or plan a day exploring popular attractions such as Busch Gardens or Yorktown Battlefield Colonial National Historical Park. At day’s end, retreat back to the restored cottage and warm up around the fire pit as you take in the peaceful scenery!

Fantastic Hosts Beautiful farm house with an incredible little library that has a sleigh bed. Which I preferred to sleep in and wake up to the deer in the morning. Great hosts great communication.

A Magical Holiday Getaway at Frogmore!
Our family stayed at this beautiful rental home for five unforgettable days between Christmas and New Year's, and it was absolutely perfect in every way! The house was cozy and located away from all the noise. The location was also ideal—quiet and peaceful yet close to everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and attentive to every detail, ensuring our stay was seamless and stress-free.

1. Back porch steps REALLY need work. We tripped down them several times over our stay. 2. Need to add "microwave" to amenities list. 3. If there's an outdoor fire pit, wood should be supplied or it shouldn't be listed as such. Buying enough wood for the weekend if there's none there could cost $50-$60. 4. Everything else was fantastic. Grill, kitchen utensils and appliances, beds, linens, furniture were all great.

Gorgeous property
The property is very beautiful. I would not say it has a river view, but it is very shaded and pretty. The house serves basic needs. Clean and comfortable beds. Clean, functioning bathroom. We used this as home-base while visiting son, DIL and grandson for his 1st birthday.

Lovely Country Stay
We had a lovely time. Cottage is cute, beds are super comfy and we enjoyed using the fire pit. The water view required walking down a bit on a trail behind the cottage. It is possible that the view is more prevalent in the fall? Beautiful part of the country for sure. We would definitely stay ant frogmore again if ever back in the area.

Grandparents Visit
Our grandchildren came for several visits and overnights. It was great. The cottage is very user friendly and was quiet. The surrounding areas uncluding paddock was a bonus for our Shetland sheepdogs. The walking trails were fine. We had a fantastic stay.

Great little hideaway
Beautiful property. Def pet friendly. No internet or tv. Great unplug time. Not to far from attractions, but away from hustle and bustle. Bring your book and games...old fashioned family time. :)

Perfect Peaceful Getaway
Nice older structure that can be seen in some of the wood work and fixtures. I enjoyed that thoroughly. The plumbing and kitchen features ,however, are completely up to date. We enjoyed breakfast in AM before heading out for the day and there's a pleasant enclosed porch on which to dine. The back door is practically in the woods and we saw one deer on the side of the house. The host was very accommodating sending a welcome message beforehand and answering a question afterward. I was actually thinking of personal touches I could make and living in there. LOL We have family in the area and will be back.

Gorgeous place stay -- wish we spent more time at the cottage!
I rented this hidden gem of a cottage for my mother's birthday weekend and it comfortably fit me, my parents, husband, new baby, and pets. It was a truly special experience. It reminded us of my grandparents' home that was also built in the 20s. We loved the intimacy of the stay, the décor, the books, the views. Very clean and well-stocked with linens. I had our days jam-packed with activities and wish we'd spent more time enjoying the property. Great places to walk, beautiful fire pit and grill to use. The front and back porches were lovely. The one negative was that the secondary bedroom got warm and humid so I recommend sleeping with the door open and/or bringing your own fan for air flow if it is hot out. Otherwise the house had great AC throughout. Our phone reception was fine so having no WIFI made no difference for our getaway.

Nicely appointed historic cottage with period decor and furnishings, also has a well stocked library! Off the beaten path, very private with pastoral views but still close to Gloucester and Yorktown.
