Located on the shore of Lake Michigan in tranquil Good Hart facing due west towards Beaver Island, this beach house is a true getaway. Enjoy lake views through full height glass in every room. Spend your days playing at the beach, hiking in the woods, taking long beach walks, watching world-class sunsets, relaxing under dark starry night skies, and wandering into Harbor Springs and Petoskey for quaint small town shopping, dining and gallery hopping. Golf at Boyne is 20 minutes away. Ferry to Mackinac Island 40 minutes away. Enjoy the peacefulness of a private lake house with all the amenities of northern Michigan.

Perfect Fall Stay
My husband, four year old, and I stayed for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is secluded and quiet, with gorgeous lake views from every room. The beds were comfortable, and the house is super clean. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the beach and a trip to Pond Hill Farm for a fall/pumpkin picking weekend!

Great location with beautiful lake view and easy access to the lakefront.
We loved the home design, thin long building with lake views from every room through eight sliding glass door walls. We opened all of them when we arrived and left them open until we departed. The deck is a great place to relax. The home has updates throughout, and the beds are very comfortable. Easy access to the home using a digital lockset. Great central location for Cross Village, Harbor Springs, Good Hart, Wilderness State Park, Mackinac Island, etc.

Trees and beach and sun
My friend and I sought a quiet space and beauty for six days. With access to the upper peninsula and the tunnel of trees, we rested well and enjoyed beautiful weather in a house that had spectacular views and lots of chipmunks chattering as they gathered autumn acorns. A comfortable way for nature lovers to enjoy nature without working too hard. Laura the owner is highly responsive and helpful.

Beautiful Up North Week
The house was perfect for me, my husband, and our two grown children. All rooms face the lake - a great sight to wake up to and amazing wave noise to fall asleep to. We spent most of our time on the lake-facing deck and on the beach - exactly one person walked by during our stay. We divided our time between being at the house, isolated from the world and trekking into Petoskey, Mackinac, and Wilderness State Park - you can do both easily. We hope to return next summer!

Fabulous Getaway
The property had a stunning view from every room of the house; the layout was successful in its intention to highlight Lake Michigan. Decor was tasteful; everything had been considered to make guests comfortable. We would definitely return.

Beautiful quiet Lake Michigan location
We enjoyed our stay - the house layout was great for our friends with their child to stay on one end and us on the other. Two full bathrooms (no bathtub) worked out for all of us. Loved the amenities of the full kitchen/bbq, it allowed us the opportunity to eat breakfast at home and cook out! Loved the beach access, for morning/evening strolls. Also great that kids can't "see" the beach from the house, allowing us to go down to the beach when adults were ready. The house was clean and had most everything we'd need and easy parking. the neighbors were also friendly. There was only 1 ceiling fan and it was in the master bedroom, with no a/c and the doors open at night- the wind was north/south so the house got hot at night. (the weather was in the upper 80's during the day so when we were out the house reached 79+ with the windows shut). I'm sure if the wind shifts it would be pleasant with the sliding doors all open, but we were not that lucky this trip.

Private Beach and Incredible Walks and Sunsets
The title pretty much says it all! It was the perfect girls retreat with sisters and our daughters. We spent most of our time on the beach and walking along Lake Michigan. We also visited local wineries and Leg's Restautant. Visits to the Good Hart General Store and the Tea Room were a bonus treat!

AMAZING!
We absolutely loved our stay! The accommodations were as listed and the house is adorable. We enjoyed the decorating and the windows along the waterside of the house. We will book again someday when we don't have Grandma with us! :-) The stairs were a little much for her to get back up. The beach was beautiful as it always is, and definitely our "happy place." We snorkeled and paddle boarded for hours. Thanks for the Adirondack chairs on the beach and for the comfy beds!

Relaxing beach home!
We had an incredible vacation in large part to Laura’s beautiful beach home. The location was perfect, so quiet and peaceful and right next to the water. Located on the Tunnel of Trees, and only a short scenic drive away from Harbor Springs. There is a gorgeous view from every part of the house and the sliding doors allowed a nice cool breeze to flow through the house. The kitchen is so well stocked and we cooked salmon on the grill. We saw bald eagles and found petoskey stones. Waking up, and going to sleep with the sound of the waves was so nice, it’s exactly what we needed for a relaxing beach vacation! We highly recommend!

Peaceful Place to Relax!
We had a very relaxing stay at this beautiful home! The place was very clean and comfortable and provided everything that we needed to unwind and recharge. Restoring and Fun
This is such a hidden gem! The beach is private and beautiful-- we really didn't want to go anywhere else. All the games and books were a nice addition. Kitchen was well stocked. You do need to bring shampoo and conditioner but hair dryer is provided. We loved this spot and would love to come back some day! It's much better in person than online!

Absolutely wonderful!
The house and property were fantastic! Very clean and well kept and amazing views of the lake and sunset! Laura was a pleasure to work with and answered the many questions I had. It was the first vacation my kids went on and they loved it! The toys in the house and the beach toys were a huge hit and helped make their time on the trip more enjoyable. The trip was one that my kids, wife and I will not forget!

Lake Michigan Get-Away
Laura’s house is located about halfway between Petoskey and Mackinaw City on Lake Michigan. The back of the house faces the lake and has 6 or 7 sliding glass doors overlooking a nice sized deck and Lake Michigan. Off the deck is a stairway leading to a short path to the lakeshore. The house, the view and the lake access is fantastic. As the house is nestled in a wooded area between M 119 and the lake, you feel as if you are secluded from the rest of the world!! But fear not, if you want to stay on “the grid”, there is wi-fi, a smart TV for streaming and short driving distances to nearby Good Hart, Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Mackinaw City for shopping, dining and site seeing. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, utensils and silverware with a large dining table inside and on the deck. We had two couples and both had a bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom. Contact and communication with Laura was always efficient, timely and friendly. She is the perfect hostess! We loved our week at her house and will keep it in mind for our annual trips to this beautiful part of Michigan!! We think you’ll love it, too!!

Amazing Lake Michigan Getaway!
This fantastic house had just what we wanted: all the comforts of home in a private haven along beautiful Lake Michigan. Sure, cell service was intermittent at best, but still had wifi and enjoyed the limited access to the outside world. Excellent correspondence with owner and really didn't want for anything. Next time we need a beach fix, definitely looking here first!

We were very happy with our cottage stay. The cottage is beautifully cared for, has everything you could possibly need in the rooms and kitchen and Laura was very easy to communicate with and friendly. The beach is magnificent for walks, sunsets and swimming. We even found Petoskey stones and saw a Bald Eagle. Very private and quiet. We had our young children with us and they enjoyed the toys, videos, games and beach toys. The view from the balcony is amazing and the large windows in each room were spectacular with views of the lake and trees. Dining on the balcony felt like we were high up in the tree tops. Very close drive to Cross Village/Legs Inn, Good Hart, and not far from Harbor Springs, Petoskey and the Highlands (Boyne). Highly recommend this cottage for the perfect and relaxing northern Michigan getaway. Thanks Laura!

Ultimate Relaxation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Easy access to Lake Michigan, private beach, lovely deck, and open concept with a wall of glass sliders to allow for beautiful views from every room.
