"I've been driving by The Shoe for over 40 years and finally took the opportunity to spend a weekend there with life-long friends. It.Was.Fantastic!!!! It's cozy, cool, creative, and full of history! We were thankful for rainy weather because we did not want to leave! Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU to the owners and host for preserving this iconic York County site and for the perfect place to have a mini-vacay with my girls!"

"Beautiful home! I can see where it would be beautiful in the summertime for a large family. The hot tub was a welcome addition to a chilly night. Our stay was short, and we will try to stay longer in the summer months!"

"This is a great house, well cared for and well-appointed. We were a party of six: my husband and me, my brother and sister-in-law and their twin teen girls. The first floor was historic in the front and modern, very spacious in the back. All of our socializing and dining was accommodated very comfortably. Bedrooms were upstairs. Two queen bedrooms have window a/c, which cooled those rooms adequately. However, the bunk bedroom had no a/c, and it was rather warm (even with fans). The upstairs...

"Had a wonderful night staying at this property that was only 7 minutes away from my son’s baby shower. It was perfect for the two of us. It was hot when we checked in due to the heat wave in the area but once the central air kicked in it was fantastic. Highly recommend this place and will definitely check it out again if we get up this way. Crystal is an awesome host."

"Gettysburg is always a stop for my family and I when we travel to PA to visit the rest of our family. Laura’s property was the perfect location and super cozy! She was very communicative, helpful and kind. We definitely added her house to places we will stay again! It was such a unique house and we enjoyed the entire home and outside seating area."

"This apartment is so pretty. It was very comfortable. There were snacks from local companies, Utz chips and Hershey chocolate which was very thoughtful. There was coffee pods, oil and spices, some drinks in the fridge. In the bathroom were some toiletries and body wash/shampoo were provided.
