Blue Marlin is a stunning beachfront home on the picturesque Chesapeake Bay in Hampton, Virginia! This inviting retreat boasts 2 separate dwellings. Nestled within a 30-40 minute drive to the captivating attractions of Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Virginia Beach; our location offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
Step inside our thoughtfully designed beach house and you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting ambience. The open-concept living area features large windows that flood the space with natural light, creating a seamless connection between indoors and outdoors. Sink into the comfortable recliners and unwind as you enjoy the gentle breeze and sound of waves crashing against the shore.
The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms, a balcony off the master bedroom, and the deck for all your gathering needs. The main floor of the guesthouse has a small kitchenette, living room, a dining table that can seat up to 4 people, and half bath. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a desk and a full bath. Please be advised that the AC unit at the guest house is loud when kicking in, if you are a light sleeper, consider sleeping in one of the bedrooms in the main house. The enclosed outdoor shower has hot and cold water, and gas fire pit to gather around at the front of the house.
The fully equipped kitchen is a haven for culinary enthusiasts, complete with modern appliances and ample counter-space for preparing delicious meals. Whether you’re whipping up a feast for the family or enjoying a quiet dinner for 2, the adjacent dining area offers the perfect setting to savor your creations while relishing the incredible bay views.

House Rules:
Welcome to Blue Marlin! We want to ensure that your stay as comfortable and enjoyable. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following house rules:
1. Check-in and Check-out:
* Check-end time: 4 PM
* Check-out time: 10 AM
* Please adhere to the designated times unless prior
arrangements have been made.
2. Minimum age to book: 25 years
* The responsible party booking our property must be
staying on site during the entire visit.
* No unauthorized guests are allowed.
3. Smoking/Vaping Policy:
* Smoking/Vaping is strictly prohibited inside the house.
* Smoking/Vaping is only allowed in outdoor areas.
*Please dispose of cigarette butts safely and responsibly.
4. Pets:
* Two pets are allowed at a charge of $175
* Pets must be house trained.
* Please do not allow pets on beds or furniture.
* Pets must be in a crate when you are outside or away from
the house.
* Please do not use the empty lot across the street as a pet
bathroom.
* Please pick up after your pet.
* The City of Hampton requires that your dog is leashed
when outdoors.
5. Quiet Hours:
* Please respect our neighbors and observe quiet hours from
9 PM to 8 AM.
* Keep noise levels at a considerate level throughout the
day.
6. Maximum occupancy:
* The maximum number of guests allowed is 7 in the main
house and 3 in the guesthouse.
* Parties and events are not permitted.
* Parties that attract the Police will result in the immediate
removal of all people and property with no refund. The
property is monitored for noise.
7. Security and Safety:
* Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when
leaving the property.
* Please be mindful of your personal belongings, as we are
not responsible for any lost or stolen items during your
stay.
8. Housekeeping:
* We provide a cleaning service with a fee of $150 per stay.
*Additional cleaning during your stay can be arranged for an
extra fee.
9. Amenities and Appliances:
* Feel free to use all provided amenities and appliances.
* Follow the operating instructions and exercise caution
when using them.
* Please report any malfunctions or damage promptly.
10. Parking:
* There are 3 full parking spaces including the garage for our
guests. The driveway can accommodate up to 4 smaller
cars. Please call ahead to discuss what vehicles you are
bringing so that we can make sure that we have adequate
parking for you.
* The driveway is somewhat steep, so please be careful
getting in and out of your vehicle. Because of the angle of
the driveway, vehicles with low ground clearance are
discouraged and we will not be responsible for any damage
as a result of your vehicle scaping the driveway.
* Please park in designated areas or respect any parking
rules or instructions provided. There is no on street parking
available.
11. Environmental Consciousness:
* Help us conserve energy by turning off lights, air
conditioning, and heating when not in use or when leaving
the property.
12. Respecting private property: * Homes and the beach on the bay are privately owned, except for the Salt Ponds and Buckroe Beach located on
each end of First Street. Please respect our neighbors and
limit your play and sitting within our property lines. It is okay
to walk along the beach, but not under our neighbor's
houses. Do not use the empty lot across the street for any
reason.
* Do not tamper with any marked owner's closets, cabinets,
or storage bins. If you are allowed to park in the garage
during your stay, please leave everything in the garage as is.
13. Grill and firepit:
* Clean grill after using.
* Cover grill and firepit after they cool down.
14. No shoes allowed in the house.
* It's a rule that we follow when we are staying at our house.
This helps us protect the floors and limits sand inside.
There is a foot bath and outdoor shower located across
from the rear of the guest house to wash off the sand.
