"What a wonderful visit to Karen’s cabin. Staying here was a blood pressure lowering experience that melted our cares away. When you drive up and see the wooded yard with screen porch and fire pit, it instantly puts you in vacation mode. "This home and property was exactly what we needed and more! Our son was getting married at a nearby venue and this was the perfect retreat for our family. Our grandchildren love the pool and the animals, especially the horses. My favorite spot was the front porch swing. It was So peaceful and spacious I cannot say enough good things about our stay. You can see the owner’s lodge from the cabin but you have a private deck off of the back of the rental. "Despite arriving after the check-in time and finding the place had not been cleaned, it was an amazing house. The property manager was amazing in making sure this little problem was fixed right away. We were there for our son's "Turning Green" ceremony/weekend pass and it was the perfect house for our family and for his friends to come by and see him. Plenty of room! "The house pictured is not the one we stayed in; storm damage made it uninhabitable the day before our check in, owner offered to change locations, and glad we did. We stayed in White House Ranch. If you want to “get away” from the rat race, this is your place. Tranquil location with cows & horses coming to greet you. Home was immaculate, kitchen lacked a couple of things, but Nancy, the housekeeper, went to store & purchased necessary items & delivered them right away. We enjoyed our stay."

"We found the Rustic Star to be exactly as advertised and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway. It is very convenient to FDR State Park, Warm Springs, and Pine Mountain/Callaway Gardens. We had a couple of needs arise during our stay and the managers were easy to reach and responded to our request. We would definitely recommend the Rustic Star. The location was convenient and easy to find, but not quite as secluded as we had hoped. "
