"The Ledge is an adorable cottage perched on a hill with 180 degree views of waterfront. We saw herons, plovers, pheasants and a bald eagle. The owners were so friendly and kind. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Make sure you stop in Sherbrooke to get groceries and other supplies you want. The location is quite rural. Luckily we bought some precooked meals from a neighbor down the road and they were really delicious. This is a beautiful area of Nova Scotia. "

"A very nice property. Four couples stayed there a night while on a motorcycle tour of Nova Scotia. One of the bedrooms didn’t have access to a bathroom so it was more of a 3br house rather than 4br. Spacious with many amenities but there were numerous sticky notes around informing us of things that didn’t work or shouldn’t be used. The access road was gravel and not motorcycle friendly."

"The cottage was the perfect place for our small team to set up a 'home base' while working in the area. The location was perfect, the cottage was clean and well kept. The host was great, very responsive, and even checked in on us during a passing tropical storm to ensure everything was ok. I would highly recommend!"

Large windows let in so much light, and the WiFi was strong enough for remote work. However, there are some issues. "The place is good, and we had a good time in the area. The place is not right on the beach--it is about a 200 meter walk through the woods. The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. We wish we had stayed in Baddeck."
