Complete Beach House W/Swimming Pool Overlooking Caribbean Sea

Thank you for your interest in our property, Casa Ballena is a complete beach house. It overlooks the Caribbean Sea, has lush green lawns, a private swimming pool and abundant foliage that make this retreat an oasis in the dry forest of Puerto Rico's south coast. This is a home away from home; a place to wake up to the scent of fresh coffee and chocolate. Start the day with a dip in the pool or croquet on the lawn before a day full of sun.

The beach house is ideal for slow dinners as the sun sets, as the kitchen is fully equipped for those who love to cook. Enjoy privacy and safety as the entire perimeter of the grounds is enclosed, with the main gate opening by remote control access.

The house has a stylsh yet casual Caribbean decor and very comfortable. It is equipped with bed linens, table linens, bath linens, swimming pool, professionally landscaped grounds, back-up water supply, and strong split unit air-conditioning systems. House has master suite with full bath, walk-in closet and full view of Caribbean Sea. Two additional bedrooms and another full bath are located off main hall. Great room and kitchen face the sea. There are three separate patios/decks for dining. There is a small poolside apartment on the property, available only to the family renting the main house. It is ideal for an extra guest, teenage children/friends or a nanny.

Gaze away your days…
Stunning views… feel relaxed just from watching the sunrises, sunsets, and late night star gazing. Location is amazing and for the price, space, and sense of security… you get what you pay for. To be honest, the property is definitely outdated. Beds are uncomfortable. The master bedroom has a bed that feels like a seesaw when you or your partner decide to roll over in the middle of the night. Intimacy/privacy can be a challenge when the master bedroom door doesn’t lock and you’re traveling with your kids and parents. Although the kitchen is well equipped, the burners on the stove are finicky. There’s a leak under the kitchen sink. Linens are provided and clean but stained from visitors from a time long forgotten… mattresses cause more back pain than relaxation. Deck roof leaks when it rains so watch where you sit while watching any rain storms pass by! The property manager, Jeffrey, was absolutely amazing to work with. He is very attentive, cares about his neighborhood and the services provided. Takes excellent care of the property with the resources that he is provided with by the property owners. Yes, I would stay here again but now know to set my expectations a bit lower.

This beach house just became my favorite place to stay in Puerto Rico. It is very spacious, peaceful, great view to the beach and the pool. I'm definitely coming back again.

Les recomiendo que en el area de la piscina tengan más alumbramiento, cuando se va el sol es muy oscuro. Dar mantenimiento a las camas o cambiarlas ya están un poco deterioradas. El internet NUNCA sirvió y el cable tampoco. La piscina estaba sucia no estaba limpio el piso. Me encanto el espacio me volveré a quedar pronto

Beautiful, quite and far away from all
The place is just as the photos show. The downstairs needs a lot of updates, the appliances are a bit rusty but all the appliances work well. The AC is great and really cools off the place. The only thing is that the location is very far away from everything so make sure you bring enough food to avoid back and forth trips thru the only road to get there which is very narrow and basically driving thru dangerous cliffs. The area is very quite and it felt like being on a spiritual retreat…. Very relaxing. Overall the stay was good and the property manager is great!!

Guanica South beaches the best.
Amazing view, nice spot. House was comfortable and big enough for a large group. Needs a little of upgrade. Common area big enough. All around nice place to stay and enjoy the view. Near a lot of beaches and nice house pool. Equipped with all the house appliances.

The location is stunning, Beautiful views of Gilligans island in the ocean, the homes a little dated but has all the amenities needed, Jeffery the grounds keeper is an amazing person always willing to help, so your in good hands! I highly recommend this location for your next stay

Amazing location, home is a little dated but very accommodating, has everything you need for a beautiful vacation, prime location and plenty of beautiful water views and amenities , the property manager Jeffery is an amazing host , care taker and boat guide , he will address your every need and go out of his way to make your vacation spectacular! Thank you Jeffery. I highly recommend this home , just bring food and toiletries and they supply the rest .

Great escape!
This place was excellent, the owner was very helpful and friendly. The view is spectacular for evening dinners and morning coffee. Sitting by the pool with cold beverages during the day with a constant breeze just makes it that much more peaceful and enjoyable. Great place!

Tremendo lugar para relajarse
Nuestra estadía fue inolvidable. La casa es acogedora, tiene todo lo necesario para pasarla bien y relajarse. La piscina es tremenda para terminar el día de playa. La terraza con vista al mar es excelente para cenar y pasarla bien. El administrador de la propiedad fue excelente, muy amable y siempre pendiente por si necesitábamos algo. Ya estamos planificando la próxima estadía en Casa Ballena.

Not worth the price
Our overall stay was nice, we were not at the property most of the time. However, there are many things that need to be fixed with the property. The kitchen sink has a bowl under it because the right side leaks bad. The hall bathroom has no shower head. Due to the earthquakes, the power is not great. We lost power almost everyday, but at least there is a generator. Our stay was overall nice, the pool was great, however, for the price, the owner should take better care of the property.

La casa ballena tiene lo necesario para pasar unas buenas vacaciones. La piscina es excelente y la cocina tiene lo necesario para cocinar si no deseas salir de la casa. Los aires de todos los cuartos y sala funcionaban bien. Le falta cariño a la estructura. El exterior de la casa necesita pintura, la madera del balcón debe restaurarse al igual que el apartamento . La casa necesita puertas con cerraduras y limpiar los escrines . Las puertas que dan acceso a la casa no tienen cerradura y si deseas salir no hay manera de cerrar la casa. El administrador Jeffry muy amable y siempre disponible

La propiedad tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días de vacaciones, además es muy amplia y cómoda. El lugar es precioso y tiene una vista al mar espectacular. Todos los aires acondicionados y demás equipos electrodomésticos funcionaban muy bien y estaba limpia.

Nice location, Average stay
This property is nice for the price and location was great but the stay itself could have been much better. We stayed 5 days, 4 nights. We had 9 adults stay and it fit nicely. Definitely need a car. There is no key to the house just the gate code which was strange to us. I reached out to the property manager about this to make sure but never heard back from him. The property has 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms upstairs and an apartment with one bedroom and one bathroom downs. 10 would be pushing it seeing as the apartment downstairs had a full and a bunk bed. The A/C in the living room was broken. Water started flooding down and onto the tv twice so we couldn't turn on the AC. I reached out to the property manager twice with no response. Never came to fix it. He showed up on the day of check out and told us the prior renters had broken the AC. Which means he knew the AC was damaged prior to arrival and still did nothing. Having the AC damaged was even more so difficult because that was the only AC in the kitchen area as well. We had to keep the doors open which meant bugs and flies got inside. There were ACs in all the bedrooms that worked fine. This is Puerto Rico so we knew there would be tons of bugs. We brought several bug sprays, lamps, and candles. But even with that on the porch at night wasn't enough. Prior reviews were correct - there was no soap in the house. Nor toilet paper or paper towels. There were bath towels but no pool/beach towels. The house did have cooking supplies and plates however we brought everything in case. The house is somewhat on a cliff so you can see the ocean but you're not on the ocean. No direct access to the beach. A beautiful view and also a beautiful drive up to the house. There is a stray cat on the property. It kept trying to get into the house and always near by. Very much of nuisance to some in the group others didn't mind. The pool was clean. The rooms and bathrooms were clean but outdated. As is the interior of the house. La Parguera is about 25 minutes away from the house and the grocery store is about 10-12minutes. Access to Gilligan's island was closed because of COVID while we were there. If you're looking for a place just to crash at night after a long beach day this was great for the price for multiple people. Especially if you don't mind bringing everything you need. Some of our group lives on the island so it wasn't that much of a pain to bring everything.

Beautiful outside-outdated and somewhat dirty on inside
The pool and grounds are great. Kids had a great time playing with their vball in the yard and in the pool. However, we washed our sheets after the first night after finding hairs in our beds. We wore flip flops in the shower because we didn't trust the cleanliness. Garbage disposal was broke but we weren't told and it wasn't replaced during our stay as we were told it would be. So we washed a lot of dishes by hand as we had 10 people. Beaches are close by. But you are 2.5 hours from the airport and from any excursions we wanted to do. We would not stay here again.
