Cozy Convenient Getaway

Location, location, location! Central Shenandoah Valley. Adorable private 1 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment located in a nice quiet neighborhood, detached from owner's home. This quaint apartment features a living room, bathroom with shower and a kitchenette that includes a fridge , microwave, toaster oven,crock pot, and gas BBQ for quick and yummy foods. Unwind and enjoy a drink while cozying up to our outdoor fireplace. This location features easy access to universities, wineries, skiing, kayaking, bicycling, shopping, good eats and more. Just a mere 20 minutes to Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail. Quick access to Harrisonburg, Waynesboro and Staunton.

comfy and cozy
This property was awesome! We stayed 3 nights. The apartment is secluded in a quiet neighborhood tucked away behind a fence and above a garage. There were no issues at all that needed to be addressed. We enjoyed the fireplace outside which is in a large covered area with a table and bbq grill. The apartment itself was lovely with many amenities. Communication and check-in were seamless. It is a quick 20 minute drive to JMU campus where we went to for a football game. There are several very nice wineries and breweries in the area as well, We are looking forward to returning again next year!

steep steps
This stay reminded us of 'going to camp' -- a few unexpected surprises. Creative photos don't show the lack of cramped yard space, not so inviting outdoor space, proximity to railroad tracks (noisy trains, infrequent but loud), and steep steps. Cozy is not the word I would use and other descriptors a bit exaggerated. The exterior stairs are a bit nerve-wracking -- the inside railing ends a few feet before the top of the steep stairs. Difficult to carry luggage up and feel safe about it. Caution advised. Price is fair for today's times, and lots of eclectic artwork and decor to explore, a few books, lots of local info. Hosts very responsive and friendly via texts, though we didn't meet anyone in person. Lots of little appreciated extras in the kitchen area. Clean enough to be comfortable. Close enough to other Valley locations to enjoy. I hope the toilet will be replaced before many others endure (sits very low, a child's toilet, runs loudly and most of the time you to jiggle the handle to stop the noise). Anyone using the toilet during the night wakes up anyone else staying with you, and probably the folks downstairs too?

Great Experience
The apartment was very clean & neat and the neighborhood was quite. The information board in the hall was very helpful with the recommendations. The recomnended Grottes Cavern tour was a blast!!

What a wonderful space! I felt very peaceful in this charming apartment that felt like home:) lovely owners, fun outside seating, very safe neighborhood and close to Waynesboro and Harrisonburg! A perfect spot! I hope to return!

Great Place!!!!!
We were there for the weekend. I was at a bridal shower and our friends live less than five minutes from the house. Everything was perfect about it. Very comfortable and very clean. We will definitely be staying here again. My husband and I also did a visit to the Luray caverns. A lot of fun!

Cute little hideaway
The place was great! Ron and Jill were very welcoming and even though the property was in the middle of the neighborhood, the landscaping made it seem like a remote hideaway just for us. The place was small but absolutely perfect for what we needed. I recommended to friends that live a few blocks away.

Weekend Away
Perfect cozy cabin in a quiet neighborhood with close by restaurants. The firepit under the gazebo was perfect in the evening. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

Owners of property were exceptional! The Space they provided was perfect for the day we came into town for a wedding. They did a really good job making the place feel like home. The owners reached out and gave me a run down of all the best food in the area and let me know of some other places worth visiting and were just the best hosts! Again, we could not have asked for anything better and can’t thank them enough for providing us the space!

Quaint respite
The accommodations were excellent and only a short drive from JMU where we were dropping off our daughter. I cannot say enough to express how wonderful and accommodating Ron was both prior and during our stay. He checked in to make sure we were well and gave us great recommendations on restaurants , breweries and wineries near by. We plan on returning to visit those we didn’t have time to visit!

Perfect little apartment to provide our home base for exploring Shenandoah National Park, Harrisonburg, and the Grottoes area. Ron and Debbie were cordial hosts with plenty of insights and suggestions. A very pleasant experience. We hope to return in the Fall.

Charm, comfort, and creativity
For a full week we road our bikes on gorgeous Bike Virginia routes out of Staunton and Harrisonburg and then came home to this wonderful 2nd story apartment to cook, enjoy a celebratory drink on the balcony porch, listen to birds in what seemed like an aviary, and fall into a restorative sleep on a very comfortable bed. What a lovely place and hosts. Even after a full week, we were sad to leave. It felt like home.

Very comfortable and inviting
We had an amazing stay. I enjoyed the balcony and how sweet and inviting the owners were. Ron was excellent in letting us know where to go and Debbie was so sweet in cooking us a little treat and making sure we had coffee and everything else we needed.
