"I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. "Photos certainly do not do this house justice. We were a party of 9 adults and one dog and we had so much space. We particularly loved the huge kitchen table where we spent lots of time chatting, playing games etc. Highly reccommended."

"I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up."

"Keswick Reach was a lovely place to stay and very secluded... too secluded for us. Our car broke down on day 3 of a 5 day stay. We were left solely dependent on what little food we had, what the shop sold and what the restaurant served. We found the shop lacked items like bacon, sausages, bread, etc but had a lot of sweets and crisps. It is far from other shops so we expected more. My dad can't have cheese as it sets his heart out of rhythm, so he could only have garlic bread when it was pizza...

"Julie's garden cottage is a delight. Beautiful peaceful location and lots of amenities just a short drive away. Julie's little touches of milk in the fridge and biscuits for hungry children always on the hunt for snacks was very thoughtful. :-) "

"I had a great stay,I booked the unit a day before my arrival and once booked I received all the check in info immediately, no key was needed all acess is through a keypad system which is nice.The unit was very spacious and cozy,I really liked the kitchen set-up,Carlisle is a wonderful city and fun to explore and the apartment was only a 5 minute walk to the train station."

"I have stayed here a few time now, rooms are fab, heating in the room was perfect as I hate a hotel room which doesn’t have great heating. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee and biscuits and a bottle of water provided. I would highly recommend this hotels to my friends and family. Staff were lovely too."
