Library of Ivy and Ellie is a revitalized 1949 cottage within walking distance of Downtown Greensboro and Cone Hospital. Two bedrooms, one bath with stacking washer and dryer in the hallway closet. Off-street parking in back, TV (no cable - on purpose) with internet utilities, central heat and air, tankless gas water heater, linens, and cooking tools are all provided. This space was created as an outlet for the love I have for my two daughters Ivy and Ellie so I can share that with you.
The location of this home is super urban with traffic and ambulances and downtown within walking distance. This space was designed for creatives and thinkers and the people who enjoy these people. This Library holds tiny bits and baubles, of things that connect me to two of the most important women in my life, my daughters. They enjoy reading and doing creative things among many other interests. Backyard garden and foraging encouraged. Hunsucker's Place is next door. That home is a showcase of Eric’s three boys. The yards are all shared. Angel mows the grass and the main mail person is Raven. Ask about our favorite thrift stores, live music, breweries, and creative spaces. We love Greensboro and the people who live here. We host homes that mimic staying with a friend or beloved relative.
Pull down the driveway, park in back and enter through the backdoor into the kitchen.
We live up the hill in the brick house on the corner. Stop by and say "Hey"
Idlewood neighborhood is between Fisher Park, Latham Park, Old Irving Park, Westerwood, and College Hill Neighborhoods. This neighborhood is super urban. Guests can access the urban trail, greenway, and GTA bus on Hill St. Wendover is very busy so please wait until the light turns red to pull out of the driveway.

The location of this home is super urban. This is an old house. While we do thoroughly clean between guests, we can not guarantee a gluten-free, pet hair-free, 100% sterile environment. We love creating our spaces to mimic staying at the home of a beloved friend or relative and ask that guests please treat these spaces respectfully.
House Rules for Library of Ivy and Ellie
Welcome! We’re excited to have you here and appreciate your help in keeping everything neat and running smoothly. Here are a few simple guidelines:
Washer & Dryer:
Instructions are attached to the washer and dryer doors.
The dryer is ventless and collects moisture in a drawer at the top left. After using the dryer, please empty the water from the drawer into the shower floor.
Trash & Recycling:
Green can: Trash
Brown can: Recycling (no plastic bags, please)
Gray can: Yard waste only
The trash cans are located behind the house. Please be sure to use the correct bin for waste.
Pet Waste:
When traveling with cats, please share your strategies for preventing spraying, clawing furniture, and managing litter scatter. Remember, pet waste must be picked up and disposed of in designated cans or dumpsters outside. Pet parents who leave behind animal waste, cat litter, fur, or clawed furnishings will incur an excess cleaning fee of $80 per hour, along with possible repair or replacement charges. Please be mindful that pet urine can damage grass; kindly direct your pets to non-grass areas.
If you’re traveling with a pet, the pet fee covers the extra cleaning time needed for one low-shed, small to medium pet. If you have multiple pets or a high-shed pet, we recommend cleaning during your stay or scheduling mid-stay cleanings based on your length of stay. Thank you for being a considerate pet parent! ❤️🐶🐱❤️
Please note that any damage to towels and linens will incur the following fees:
Towels: $20 each
Sheet Sets: $100 per set
Pillow Cases: $25
Quilts and Blankets: $20 to $500, depending on the item and its value.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the quality of our accommodations.
Furniture & Decor:
We kindly ask that you do not rearrange any furniture, lamps, or rugs, and please do not move or hang anything to the walls.
Cleaning:
Cleaning products and tools are provided in the kitchen under the sink for your respectful use. Simply Organized and Clean offers mid-stay cleaning for a fee. Please let us know if you would like to schedule a mid-stay cleaning. Cleaning in excess of 5 hours after your check out will be billed back to you at $80 and removal of personal items is $100 per truck load.
Thank you for helping us maintain a comfortable and tidy space! If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, we’re just a message away.
Warmly,
Joy & Eric
