"Well situated in town, Very welcoming indeed - Carol and her staff couldn't do enough (nothing was a problem). Room spotlessly clean and airy and cleaned every day. We were only B&B and selection for breakfasts was really good (something to suit everyone). Couldn't fault anything really and would definitely go back."

"Located behind "Kind of Spice" so type that in when looking for this place. No lift in the annex building, which is where our room was (2nd flr). Otherwise, kind staff and clean rooms. Complimentary bottles of water at the FD, just ask. Breakfast selection was fantastic; you can pay the night before and save 4bucks compared to the day of. No dinner service, but the bar is open in the evening from 5:30- 10:15pm. "King of Spice" (curry) is right around the corner, so we had dinner there instead....
"Liked that it had EV charging. Very peaceful and owners were very welcoming and friendly. Delicious scrambled eggs in the morning made by Cliff using eggs from their chickens. comfortable bed and great shower. Very clean with nice touches such as shampoo/conditioner and shower gel and chocolate wafers with the tea/coffee making facilities. excellant value

"Stayed for one night for a girls weekend away to go to Chelmsford's Music Festival. Hotel was in a great location with parking. We had a spacious room with great amenities & a lovely lunch in the bar! Would definitely stay here again!! "
