"The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay."

"This place has potential. Plaster board or sheet rock inside to make it look more homey, maybe a sink instead of a pump wash water station otherwise maybe sound proof as you can hear the neighbor snoring. I owner is nice. "

"This property was nothing short of spectacular. It’s beautiful, well kept, and has such a great host. Would definitely stay again!"

"Heavily misrepresented surrounded on three sides by construction equipments and various piles of refuse. Shed is divided in two, with construction porta potty as only restroom. Shower set up is illegally with dirty shower water going directly onto the forest floor, an environmental hazard. Entire area was dirty and porta potty was full. Was forced to find a different room last minute because the host was completely non responsive to multiple Messages and attempts to reach them. Only plus is that...

"Great location to the park and all it has to offer. Nice cabin clean and easy to navigate."

"This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Poet's cabin. It is a nice little place for visiting the Acadia National Park area. It also has a very good sitting area outside and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming! The only issue is that the door opening to the bathroom is very low (I'm 6'2 and hit my head multiple times on the top of the door frame), and the shower is very small. The home is exactly as advertised and a great place to stay, but wanted any other "taller" people to be aware before booking."

"We enjoyed being away from the busyness of Bar Harbor. The cabin was close enough to everything but also remote. We enjoyed the backyard fire pit. The cabin lacked some things like a toaster, cookie sheet and ice cube trays. Our host tried to get those delivered but that was not easy. "

"What a great place to relax. The property abuts the shore--maybe a 60-second stroll down a grassy, gentle slope where adirondacks and the dock await. Or just hang out on the patio to watch from there. Warm during the day, cooling off at night, lobster by the beach -- just the perfect summer getaway. "The cabin was perfect for our needs! Went in October, so even while chilly, the hosts made sure we had enough to stay warm. I would call it rustic chic! But when seeing the pink sunset, the stars, and listening to water break….paradise! Thanks for having us! "

"We had a great stay at Tammy’s cottage and would happily return. We prefer staying in the Southwest/Bass harbor area when visiting Acadia to escape the crowds while still having great food only 5 minutes away like Archie’s Lobster. Our dog also had a great time and the cottage had all the basic cooking & grilling essentials so we cooked for most meals. Thank you Tammy so much for having us and being a great host. "

"We had an absolutely beautiful week in the beach cottage. The setting is stellar, the cabin is adorable and we slept with the doors wide open, lulled to sleep by the gentle waves. We swam and fished off the dock, had cocktails at sunset and coffee in the Adirondack chairs as the sun came up. Just an idyllic week, we are already dreaming about coming back!"

"Great hospitality. The fresh baked scones were the best I've ever had! Very convenient location. The cabin was well equipped and clean, but the bed was old and creeky. Otherwise the place was great."

"Perfect location and beautiful house. We are a family of 10 adults and had plenty of room. The park is fun to visit though parking can be challenging. The same with Bar Harbor, great town but difficult to park. I’d recommend this home and location for a Fall getaway. Foliage was amazing. House was clean and stocked but needed a few more forks and coffee cups. 😀"

"The motel is very well located next to restaurants and shops and not far from the main trail heads on the northeast side of Acadia National Park. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Definitely worth it."
