"We arrived by ferry on cold and very rainy Monday night. We were apparently unexpected, and the house wasn't ready. Staff at the Inn picked us up at the ferry, and dropped us at the Inn while they checked the property. They brought sheets to make the bed, which wasn't made. The house was musty and dirty, the bathroom had not been cleaned, floors had not been mopped, blankets and dish towels were musty and unusable, there were no potholders, and dishes were left in the dish drainer from previous...

"Great home for our multigenerational family with accommodating room options for everyone, from couples to kids to older family members that need a ground level room. The kitchen was wonderful for the cooks in the family and the big table in the great room was perfect for meals and games. We also loved our time in the backyard when we weren’t out exploring the island. "This was a terrific VRBO for a family gathering. Spacious, attractive convenient, located in the middle of a converted military base that offers many communal facilities that most VRBOs lack. Beautiful manicured lawns and easily walkable, with quick ferry service to Portland, Me. Only hitch, we couldn't find the thermostat, so a late September stay was a bit cool."
