"In general, I had a good experience. We can find one or two pots/pans that are not severely scratched to make some meals (a lot of places we stayed don't have any pans that are in good condition). The location is good as it is close to the visitor center. The staff is also nice, we needed an extra blanket at around 10 pm, and they were still able to assist with that even though it has been past their office hour."

"We enjoyed our stay in Alan’s cozy cottage. It is beautiful. It had such a comfortable bed (the bed should have its own five star rating!). The kitchen was well equipped with essentials for us such as coffee maker, filters, mugs, plates, microwave, and more. It was a great place to come back to after days of exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. Alan is a very responsive host and we enjoyed meeting him."

"Really enjoyed our stay at Tides Cottage. Lots of hiking and biking and kayaking. Ate lots of lobster from Thurstons and Charlotte’s and steamed our own on two nights. Ate marshmallows outside at the fire pit. The cottage was clean and peaceful and pretty conveniently located."

"Charming home, nicely decorated. Nice view of SW Harbor. Close to grocery store, restaurants, Acadia. If you cannot walk up a flight of stairs, you may want to contact the host, though. Great location. We took a ride on a lobster boat, went to Bar Harbor, went to Cadillac mountain, and drove the park loop. We really enjoyed the island and its beauty. "
