"The property is undoubtedly small. It was very clean and comfortable - a perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. Plenty of grocery stores and pubs/restaurants in surrounding area. A very steep narrow staircase leading to the second level of the property. I note this has been mentioned in other reviews too. Overall, my wife and I were very satisfied with the property."

"Owners of Cottage provided a phone number to call one week before our arrival. Numerous attempts each day and "no one" answered the phone. And there wasn't any way to leave a message. On our way to the unit, we had an emergency, one member, in the emergency room for 3 hours. I tried getting hold of the unit, no response so I called VRBO. We had to cancelled because I could not speak with the owner about our situation and their accommodations. Request complete refund."

"What a beautiful location and lovely little cottage. We were worried about the size of the bunk beds as we didn't realise they were not full size but my daughter and friend (5'11" and 5'9" found them very comfortable). The track up to the house was more of a problem. Glad our car has lots of clearance - a small car would not have managed those pot holes!"

"There was a damp smell upon arrival. When we looked around we could see there had been a leak from the bathroom staining the ceilings and carpets. The bathroom door did not lock and there property was generally in a poor state of repair. Marks on every wall and paint peeling from the window sills. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. "We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated.
