"We loved our stay. No time to fish but thoroughly enjoyed the captivating view of the lake through the 3 sliding glass doors out to the deck. We met in Donalsonville to take in a football game in Tallahassee. Avoided the crowds & high prices of staying close in. The home was perfectly stocked with everything we needed, ie Hilton could not have done it better. We will plan a fishing guide with a pontoon boat when we can come back for a longer stay. Thanks for your hospitality!"

"We had a wonderful 5 night/6 day stay here at Compass Lake visiting family. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was the perfect location for our family of 6. The only thing I didn’t care for was the detached basement. I must’ve missed that it had its own entrance in the listing, as my children had planned to sleep in the bunk beds downstairs. The house appeared just as it does in the photos, and it’s located in a nice area. I felt very safe. If we need to find a place again in Donalsonville, we will rent again. "

"We had to evacuate Clearwater for Hurricane Milton. Somehow this wonderful gem fell into our hands. We were having a hard time finding a pet friendly place to evacuate with our golden retriever. The house was amazing. The view on the river is what we needed to keep our anxiety down worrying about our home. The house had everything we needed. Dawn answered all my 20 plus emails immediately and was so kind. Thank you for providing the peace of mind we needed while we evacuated from the hurricane....

"The house was really nice and cozy. The door was a bit of a pain but nothing to make me take away any stars. The neighborhood is so quiet and I loved sitting at the picnic table listening to the boats. We couldn't figure out how to get the satellite TV to work but that is alright we enioyed having family time. Will stay again."
