"The place is good, and we had a good time in the area. The place is not right on the beach--it is about a 200 meter walk through the woods. The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. We wish we had stayed in Baddeck."

The deck is large and has plenty of room to enjoy meals and coffee in the morning with panoramic lake views and passing sail boats. "Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

"Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise over a flowing river bend and seeing eagles flying, deer crossing , and beaver swimming and you have it all to yourself. That's singing bowl yurt. A once in a lifetime unique experience. So glad we went!"
