Custom log cabin nestled in Powderhorn Ski Resort. Great in winter or summer.

Stay here and see why they call it Colorful Colorado. Nestled high on the Grand Mesa, at the Powderhorn Mountain Ski Lodge, is a custom built, log home. This cabin is located near numerous 'things to do', including skiing, rafting, fishing, hiking, atv riding trails, and scenic driving. This cabin sits at the base of the Powderhorn Ski Lodge with convenient ski in access out the back door. Ski in the back door from the ski runs. Ski out is either cli ming up the hill or a short walk or driving around the corner to ski area.
There are hundreds of lakes within just a few miles to fish and canoe, and many different trails for bicycling, atv riding, jeep trails, and much more. The Grand Mesa is the perfect getaway for any season with so much to do in them all. Mesa also is only an hour away from Grand Junction, Colorado, and bigger 'city' attractions, as well as the Colorado National Monument, Fruita, Colorado, the mountain biking capital of the world, and Palisade, Colorado, known for its wineries and vineyards. Powderhorn Ski Area is now offering lift tickets to the top of the mountain for mountain biking.

The cabin is large enough to sleep 15, also if you like floor room for sleeping bags. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and two full baths downstairs and 1 king bed in master BR. A large upper game/sleeping room, there is 1queen sofa sleepers upstairs, a full bed and 4 twin beds.
1 full bath upstairs.
There are 3 bathrooms, a full working kitchen, hot tub out back.

A small guest cottage to sleep 2 more people. This little cabin has no water or bathroom, it has electricity, heat, microwave, frig, tv for movies and queen bed.
There is also a sunroom and covered sitting area .on the back of the house.

We now have Internet for those guests who would like to use it.

We have a fire pit. It can be used unless our county has a fire ban.

There is a hot tub, it not a huge one.

Great place at an amazing location.
We love Powderhorn and have stayed at several cabins close to the mountain. This place has by far the best location and was cozy and comfortable. #thanksforthememories

Perfect Family Ski Vacation
It's a cute house with plenty of room. The hot tub was by far the best feature! The last day we got about 6 inches of snow that made it quite a challenge for our two wheel drive rental to get up the last hill to the house. But they had plowed by the next day. The highway leading up to Powderhorn was always clear.

Great mountain home
We had a great stay at this mountain home! It had all the comforts of home, wonderfully comfortable beds, nice bedding, perfectly stocked kitchen, in a beautiful location. The loft area was a big hit with the kids. The location is perfect for skiing as long as someone helped shuttle the gear. We would definitely enjoy staying here again, possibly in the summer for nearby mountain biking or fishing.

Amazing property and hosts!
We booked this trip with the intention of having a friend’s ski trip to remember forever and because of this house, we truly did! The hosts obviously care about the house and their guests. The amenities were organized and thorough, the check in and out process was simple, and the hot tub stayed hot even while it was single digits outside. I really cannot think of one thing that I would change. We plan on coming back before the season is over. One of the best houses I’ve ever stay at.

Great place close to Powerhorn Ski Resort
We had a great time at this place. We had a total of 13 people in our group, and we did not fill cramped. The little cabin out back gave extra room for our sleeping arrangements. The house was stocked with plenty of towels, wash clothes, cups, pans, etc for our entire group. The location to the slopes was great. Only took about 4 min to drive and drop people off. We did have the luxury of some in our group not wanting to ski so they could just drop us off. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions through VRBO. Several of my questions were answered within minutes especially during the time we are at the house. I really liked the book about the house that helped us understand certain aspects of the house that you would not know off the top of your head...especially the list of how to close up the house before leaving. I would recommend this place to anyone with a large family looking to take in some great views of the area and wants to be in close proximity to Powderhorn.

Best Ski Getaway Cabin
My family absolutely loves this cabin. It is in the perfect location for our annual powderhorn ski weekend, and it is a spacious and comfortable home to stay in. I would highly recommend a stay here for anyone looking to ski powderhorn or explore the Mesa.

Excellent Lodging! Great Location!
First time back to Powderhorn since Dec '78- no on mountain lodging back then! Excellent quick response communication with owners. Great location, mostly level walking to lodge but ski-in available off Greenhorn. Comfortable for our gang of seven and could easily handle more. Lots of great games too. Hot tub great for and of ski day. Hope to make it back soon!

New Years 2023
Our family has made it a tradition the last few years to start the New Year out at Powderhorn. Stayed at the cabin this year and it was great. There was plenty of beds and the cabin was well equipped. The pictures represent the cabin well and Connie was the most responsive owner of any other VRBO property we have stayed at in the past. We will definitely be returning. Great property on the Grand Mesa and our granddaughter loved the sledding hill as well. Thank you again Connie.

Looking for a large, roomy, homey, getaway? Look no further then this property! All the amenities you’ll need in the kitchen for family cooking, beds are soooo comfy , hot tub, large bed area upstairs , and ski right to the back door. Our family loves it all! Thank you for sharing your home !!!!

Wonderful house, perfect location
We absolutely loved our stay here. House was fantastic home away from home and spacious enough for our large family. It had all amenities we needed to cook meals and enjoy our stay. The location was perfect- 1 minute drive to ski lift OR can ski in very easily. Great hill sledding right behind house. The hot tub was an added bonus. Easy to communicate and quick responses to our questions. We’d most definitely stay here again if in the area.

What a great place. The details that were thought out, and the quality was there. The communication from the host was some of the best I have encountered. The views from the front, and the deer in the back make it a very relaxing place. Plenty of room for the family. We had a wonderful time!

All around beautiful!
We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely consider staying here again! The views are beautiful! We had lots of fun skiing and sledding down the hill next to the house! Lots of memories were made here! I do wish the hot tub was bigger, but it was nice to come back after skiing and relax in the hot tub.

Amazing house!
This property was perfect for our family. We had 11 people and there was so much room for all. Upstairs is perfect for kids or a family with small kids. Lots of room and beds! The 3 bathrooms were a huge bonus. The house was very well stocked. The hot tub was definitely a benefit after skiing all day. There were so many extra features and the location was ski in! We can't wait to come again next year. Connie was always super easy to communicate with.
