"This bed and breakfast is run by a lovely young couple who were a delight to talk to. I had numerous questions before we arrived and they were answered promptly. The rooms were clean and charming. The history of the building is fascinating and there was a lot of literature on hand about the area. The breakfast was delicious, a recipe from the owner's grandmother who was also the previous owner. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!"

"Better than advertised. Would recommend for for a group of 8 or less. Kitchen is. It equipped for cooking meals but Clifton Forge is only 25 mins away. Camp Director Chasity was very helpful before and during our stay. "

"The Granary is the most magnificent home. Very grateful it is available and hope to be back. Property is beautiful with lots of deer and bald eagles and trout. The home is perfect. You feel the history of the property from the moment you step in, and the care the Owners have taken to maintain its authenticity- the kitchen esp is adorable !! "My husband and I stayed at the river retreat for a long weekend for our anniversary. We enjoyed fishing in the river! I forgot before leaving that the house did not have TV, because I was going to bring one with me. It actually ended up being a much better vacation because we did not have the TV. We spent every night at the fire pit enjoying each others company with well stocked firewood! Thanks for the use of the house!"
