Of the many vacation rentals that we have experienced, this is by far the nicest rental from the property, surrounding, and owners/managers. The owner met us as we arrived and we proceeded to get a brief tour of the property. They have thought of everything! "Centrally located, my stay at The Lookout allowed me to attend three outstanding Celtic Colours concerts in Judique, Cheticamp and Mabou. The accommodation is all that was promised… spotless, all amenities, comfortable bed, great shower, cozy even as the October temperatures dipped and wind drove the waves along the coast. One morning, I walked to the shore on the private path… here are some of my impressions— Collindale I walk a well-tended path to the shore past the lonely cormorant...

"What a great little cabin tucked away from it all! We thought we were WAY off the beaten path because of the way we arrived, only to find coming in from the other end of the road was a much closer trip into town. The place was spotless and we loved the privacy. View was outstanding and the private beach was such a treat. Had dinner at the Clove Hitch - delicious. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone traveling to this area. "

The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful. It was plenty warm once I found the controls. The setting is beautiful, and the stairs down to the lake...

This beautiful property has a view of the ocean and town of Inverness, while also being within striking distance of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
