The Nevis by West Highland Apartments

Visit either of our beautiful Victorian apartments, 'The Nevis' and 'The Lomond' are located in the heart of Milngavie, and 50 metres from the start of the epic West Highland Way.

'The Nevis' and 'The Lomond' apartments sit side by side with each other, they operate independently with four guests in each, but if you wanted to have eight guests staying over the two apartments this is also available on request.

If you ever find 'The Nevis' is full on the dates you require please check 'The Lomond' for availability.

'The Nevis' has been thoroughly modernised, while retaining a number of the original features. The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout.

This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay.

'The Nevis' is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features.

The apartment has a self contained kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, fridge and plenty of storage for that long stay. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill.

The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a Superkng in the master bedroom and a pair of single beds in the second bedroom (as a special request the second bedroom can be made into a double if required). Both bedrooms have wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hairdryer in Bedroom two.

The main living room of the property offers a large three and two sofa for the weary (or not so weary) traveller to relax. There is a 55" 4K TV with Virgin Fiber WIFI if you fancy a movie night via our free Netflix offering.

Access to the self contained kitchen is done via the hallway, offering that modern touch in a traditional property.

West Highland Apartments use the key drop box system with a unique code issued at the time of your booking, but be assured we will always be on the phone for any help or support you may need.

Milngavie Town Centre currently boasts twelve places to eat and enjoy a coffee: Costa, Cafe Alba, F Pizza, Andiamo, Finsbay, Garvies to name a few. It has over 120 businesses operating from the centre and its popularity is growing year on year. Milngavie is most recognised for being the start of the West Highland Way, but other walks, including the Clyde Costal Path, also meet in Milngavie.

Throughout the year many events take place in the town including the Highland Games, Cycling Events, Car Events, Milngavie Folk Club, so you will have plenty to choose from on your visit. Don’t forget the stunning Mugdock Country Park or Waterworks for a stroll and a coffee.

'The Nevis'' is situated 150 metres from Milngavie Train Station, which gives you access to Glasgow City Centre in 20 minutes or Edinburgh in just over an hour. You could even head off up the west coast, and enjoy a day at the seaside. The options are endless with this amazing location. 'The Nevis' apartment is also located on the main bus routes including the 60 and 60A.

If walking is your thing then you will have Europe’s most popular walk right at your door: the West Highland Way, offering the stunning scenery of the West Coast, Loch Lomond and much more. It’s simply the best walk around. If you’d rather stay more local, Milngavie Waterworks offers a flat and pleasant walk, but equally stunning. Finally, Mugdock Country Park is truly beautiful in all seasons.

We Reserve the right to charge a £150 security deposit. The security deposit will be refunded on departure after the property has been inspected for damage.

A Perfect Location
I thoroughly enjoyed my 9-night stay in this flat. It was bright and cheery and I loved the location. Only a 2-minute walk to the train station and right on the main pedestrian street which afforded lots to see out of the lovely bay window in the living room. And, too, it was surprisingly quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom very spacious. It was a welcome change from being stuck in a one-room hotel room! Alistair was very responsive and easy to deal with. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Milngavie!

The flat is beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. The modern kitchen and bathroom facilities are wonderful! Our bed was like our own. Thank you for providing such a wonderful home away from home!!
