Beautiful historic property!

We loved this beautifully appointed home. It was perfect for our family from grandparents to teens. The home was spotless and had huge bedroom suites to enjoy. We especially appreciated the main floor bedroom and bathroom suite, the 4 full bathrooms, the modern touches while anlso blending with the original charm, the fans, along with the well stocked kitchen. The outdoor space was beautiful; it was just unfortunately too hot to use this time. The location was perfect, walkable to dining and shops. We left our coins in the wall! We would highly recommend for a larger group trip to Gettysburg. Tiny suggestion would be maybe including a bench, slightly larger table, or more chairs to add seating to the kitchen. Amazing home!!

Great stay in Gettysburg!

We stayed in the Stone House for our extended family vacation. We had a great time. The space was large enough to meet our needs - especially since one of the adults uses a wheelchair at all times. The entire downstairs was accessible and the bed and bathroom were well thought out. The kitchen was well furnished with plates, coffee pot(s) tea options and pans. The outside space is also beautiful with lots of room to seat everyone and for the kids to enjoy a green space. Thank you so much for thinking of everything!

Property was very nice and clean. We could not get the TV in the large bedroom to connect to the WiFi. Parking was great. Street noise is very noticeable but itā€™s on the street so. Could accommodate many more guests than we had.

Most favorite VRBO!

Very clean, pet friendly and plenty of space! We always stay here for the Golden Jubileeā€¦even though it was cancelled this year, we decided to keep our booking and explore Gettysburg without the dogs. Itā€™s a great Vrbo with or without pets! Love the fact that itā€™s a pre-civil war house!

The best place to stay while in Gettysburg!

Hands down, the best house weā€™ve stayed at in Gettysburg so far! We were 3 guests and 1 dog (me, my husband, our almost 2 year old, and our dachshund.) The house had EVERYTHING and the location is great - close enough to walk to the square, yet far enough away where it wasnā€™t too noisy. The yard was beautiful, the bathrooms were clean and spacious, they even had a high chair in the closet! The kitchen had everything we needed too. We will most certainly be back next year.

Gorgeous and clean

We were so impressed with how much room we had in the house. All of the rooms were very spacious and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There were plenty of comfortable blankets and pillows and great restaurant recommendations also printed out for usā€¦ Neighborhood is quiet, the patio is clean and cozy and just a quick 10 minute walk from town. We had such a great time and we really appreciate the host for having us! He is a quick communicator and made check in and check out super quick and easy for us. Thank you!

Better Than The Pictures

This house is thoughtfully remodeled to house several couples, and each bedroom has a full bath. The primary suite is very large with a bedroom, living room and bath. The remodel is new, and the house is immaculate and well-supplied. The host is incredibly responsive, and we had absolutely no issues to report. The beds are very comfortable. The location is fantastic as you are right in the middle of such an historic area. There are many restaurants within a 3-5 minute walk.

Wonderful historic home in the heart of Gettysburg

This home is absolutely amazing! Within walking distance to all the quaint shops and restaurants in the center of Gettysburg, this historic home has all the charm of the past blended with all the modern amenities of today. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen in any property we have ever rented! From the Keurig duo and tea kettle to spices and automatic paper towel dispenser, it was impressive how organized and clean everything was kept. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the 4 full bathrooms each included soap/shampoo, and the lamps were equipped with USB chargers. The owner was extremely considerate! We traveled during a storm, and he had all the sidewalks cleared of snow and sleet, and he even extended our check out! We added our coins to the wall for good luck. We highly recommend this home and would stay again in a heartbeat! We only wish the weather would have been milder so we could have enjoyed the beautiful patio and firepit.

Property was very clean. Location is walkong distance to shops, restaurants, and part of the Gettysburg Park. Neighborhood was quiet. Perfect for my husband's birthday trip with our dog!Would definetly recommend to friends heading to the area!

In town for Baptism

Can't say enough about the great stay we had this past weekend. Our grandson was being baptized at Lutheran Church at Seminary Ridge, and we stayed as a family (3 couples, baby and Tilly the Bulldog) and hosted lunch for out of town family. House was clean, plenty of room, had everything we needed, and location was perfect--we could walk to the center of town so easy. Definitely would return. Only downside was it was so cold we didn't get a chance to enjoy the awesome patio.

Great VRBO opportunity

This was a very special family overnight in Gettysburg. We chose Gettysburg because it was close to some of our scattered family. The historic stone house was charming, clean, and comfortable, with kitchen items well stocked, tea and coffee supplies, 2 first aid kits, plenty of extra blankets and more. It was the perfect setting for making cozy Christmas memories together as a family, and we will have fond memories of our stay.
