One of the 2 largest rental apartments of the village, nestled at the heart of Borgo Mummialla, Mostelia is part of a restructured historical village in the middle of a preserved natural reserve. It is a Tuscan style stone farm building with great views on the surrounding country side and Volterra in the background. The apartment is on the ground floor on the garden side and on the top floor on the south side. No neighbors above. The terrace has a table and 4 armchairs for meals outside. The apartment has two large bedrooms, one with two single beds, night tables, chair, commode and a 'Romeo and Juliet' balcony, built-in closet. The bathroom is just outside the room.The master bedroom has a large closet, two chairs, night tables, a large 160x200 bed (Queen) and one en-suite bathroom. The Tuscan style living space is set up with fireplace, stone bench along one wall, couch and armchair, a dining area with 4 chairs and is fully equipped with dishwashing machine, large refrigerator, oven, 4 gas burners and all necessary kitchen tools and china. There is also a storage room with washing machine. The terrace and garden receive the sun until 1 pm in the high season and then it is thankfully in the shade, providing welcome relief on a very warm summer day. The entire land of Borgo Mummialla is privately owned and the little village consists of several Tuscan buildings, a total of 16 owners on grounds of 70 hectares. Between oak forests and olive groves, the village lies in the middle of serene and beautiful nature, in total silence, the perfect place for a relaxing and restful stay. The infinity pool is reserved for owners and their guests. Built in a lovely setting it is most welcome for guests returning from a day's sightseeing or for just spending a day's relaxation by the water. The views and the architecture of the pool itself have sofar received raving reviews. The parking at the entrance of the village (2-3 min. walk) is mandatory for everyone. Loading and unloading of luggage and heavy shopping bags is briefly allowed by the apartments.
Borgo Mummialla was rebuilt over several years and finished entirely in 2012. Rentals were initiated in 2013. It was restructured according to strict building recommendations, in full respect of the laws regarding historical sites. It is a work of art in itself as from ruins, everything stands again the way it was long ago. The quality of all materials used are outstanding and the interiors have all the modern conveniences. Solar spheres are used for plenty of hot water, even when the village is fully occupied. When solar water heating is not enough, the system switches automatically to central heating providing continuous flow of hot water.
