Spend some time by the waves at An Ocean Breeze. This oceanfront Galveston vacation condo has lovely views of the Gulf and access to resort amenities to make your stay even more fun.

Right on the waterfront, this complex enjoys direct beach access. Moody Gardens is about four miles to the north, and the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier is just six miles to the northeast along Seawall Blvd.

The open-concept living area is bright with coastal chic decor and a large picture windows that gives way to beautiful views. Settle down in the living room to relax or set the kids up with an educational cable program or DVD. For some fresh air, step out onto your own private balcony and look around, or surf the Internet with the free WiFi.

A fully equipped kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances can handle fare both simple and complex. Whether you're brewing your coffee in the morning or trying a blended soup for dinner, you'll have what you need. Enjoy your meal at the bar stools before loading the dishwasher and heading out to the pool. And if you're in need of equipment, help yourself to the provided chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas.

Swim some laps in the shared pool, or put on sunscreen and read a book while you work on your tan. A large shared hot tub has plenty of room to soak in while you chat with friends both old and new. There's also a shared gas grill in this area if you're in the mood for some outdoor cooking.

There's direct beach access from the pool area, so rent a surfboard, boogie board, or stand-up paddleboard and get on the water.

Eight guests can enjoy this lovely space. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a flatscreen TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a large tub. Best of all, since this is a corner unit, two of the walls feature large windows with stunning views.

The other bedroom also has a TV and a queen bed, and a twin bunk bed built into the hallway will be a fun place for the kids. If you need a bit more space, there's a sofabed in the living room. In addition to the two full bathrooms in the condo, a shared laundry room makes it easy to keep clean.

Take the kids to Moody Gardens for an afternoon of rides, animal-watching, and movies on a top-of-the-line theater system. After seeing the penguins in the aquarium pyramid, take an hour-long cruise on the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat, a replica of a 1800s ship.

Whether you come for the rides or the shopping, you're unlikely to want to spend less than a full afternoon at the Pleasure Pier. Ride the roller coaster or Texas Star Flyer, watch the kids try out Big Wheelin', or win a coveted prize at the midway games. When you're done, order a seafood dish at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and get the perfect souvenir in the form of an antique photo!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
