Welcome to ‘The Enchanted Pearl!!’

Come enjoy the sun, sand and sea in this OCEAN FRONT home in Jamaica Beach on Galveston Island! Just walk outside and you’re standing on the beach! All you can hear is the sound of the waves crashing into the shore!

If you want to check in the same day you book your reservation, Vrbo requires us to approve this beforehand so please notify us and we will be happy to do so!

We are located only minutes from Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Pleasure Pier, Galveston State Park, the movie theater, the miniature golf course, the Airplane Museum and even NASA and the Kemah Boardwalk are close enough if you’d like to spend a day there! Marketing.Galveston.com shows a calendar of events.

Jamaica Beach has a fairly new neighborhood pool for you to enjoy during your stay. Last year it was $5 per person to get in. They tell us they open the pool for the Spring/Summer season when the weather warms up.

We are on the west side of the island and only about 10 minutes from the Strand and Stewart Beach.

This home has a ramp to walk up to enter it rather than multiple flights of stairs. There are stairs inside the home to access the upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the first floor.

Sleeping arrangements include one bedroom down with a king bed and full bed, one bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and a full bed. And another bedroom upstairs with a full size bunk bed (sleeps 4). The living room also includes a sleeper sofa that opens up into a queen size bed and a futon that folds down into a full size bed. There is a full bathroom both downstairs and upstairs and a shower outside.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and cooking utensils. It has a stove with a double oven, dishwasher, microwave, trash compactor and all the comforts of home! Central A/C and ceiling fans throughout. The living room has a large flat screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a tv and dvd player in both bedrooms. Cable tv is available in the living room and the master bedroom. Our home also has wifi internet.

We have a fire pit right on the beach for you to enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s’more‘s or just snuggling and stargazing!

Linens provided but please bring your own beach towels.

Wifi and cable service can be unreliable in Galveston. We are sorry that we will be unable to guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay and are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.

No prom groups are allowed.

The 'Enchanted Pearl' reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Right in the beach
The stray was very nice and enjoyable. The house is more of an early attic motif and very beachy and so it was a very comfortable spot for kids and relaxing. The beach view was great right from the den window. It is a private beach, so there were lots of cars for the Fourth of July weekend, but we expected that. We went during hurricane season and had to leave two days early because of the storm which was a disappointment overall, it was a nice visit.

Two weeks before our stay, a storm came through. The owner did not make an attempt to clean the trash, debris and sand under the house. There was 6" - 12" of sand on the cement foundation under the house. I was very upset because I was paying a premium price on what I assumed was a well maintained property. What I am most upset about is the owner did not call and let me know about these conditions beforehand and give me chance to reschedule. The handyman did show on the second day and remove the trash and debris but did not start removing the sand until the morning that we were leaving. A little professional courtesy and consideration towards us would have gone a long way instead of us arriving and seeing the mess under the house on day one! I asked about receiving some of my money back due to not being told about these conditions before I showed up at the property.

Just feet from the beach
You can’t beat the water view and access to the beach. But the pictures are misleading. Your downstairs view is blocked by the dunes and partial fences. The upstairs shower head would not move and it was hung on a 6 ft person making it difficult for my 5’6” daughter have to struggle. There is an ice maker and water dispenser on the refrigerator but neither one of them worked. They wanted us to wash the dishes before we left but there was no soap for the dishwasher. Also the over sized picnic table in the kitchen made it difficult to use the kitchen. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Nice place for group
We enjoyed our stay at the enchanted pearl. There were a couple of days where the weather didn't cooperate, but we were able to utilize the covered area under the house. Our group had 11, ages from 7-65 and everyone had a good time and plenty of room. We made some wonderful memories. Host was very accessible for questions we had. I'm sure we would rent again.

Smelly house
The beach is beautiful. The view from the house is great. There is an odor in the home that will turn your stomach. We thought it was sewer at first but decided it was possibly an old air conditioner unit. The air conditioner works great but has a smell that is truly disgusting. We did not contact the manager because we knew that this was not an easy fix that could happen during our stay. The home is in need of a serious remodel.

Oceanfront It Is!
If it were any closer to the beach you would be in the ocean at high tide! Clean and comfy with picture window views across the living area. Relax with the sound of the waves and soak up some sun on the deck. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues, John was easy to reach and quick to respond. This is a family friendly environment, enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing time. The house was settled right on the water so we didn’t have to walk far. The house was beautiful and fit everyone perfect. Beds were comfortable and we overall loved the house and the stay.

Great Beach House
The house was very clean and the location couldn’t be better. The house is on the beach so you walk from the back of the house onto the beach which is awesome. Highly recommend this rental for families, lots of space and beds.

Beautiful
The beach was beautiful. The house was very nice, juat crowded. The table is in the kitchen which made it difficult to get around. It is also a 2 bed 2 bath with a bunk bed upstairs in the hallway. Besides feeling a little crowded the house was overall very clean and comfortable beds. You can't beat the view.

Great beach house

Great location lacks necessary supplies
I have NEVER had to bring garbage bags toilet paper or paper towels. These are things I believe should be supplied. It’s an added inconvenience when coming from out of state. It’s been over 25 years since I have stayed anywhere without shampoo. With that said the LOCATION was FANTASTIC!!! Plenty of beds for lots of people. We only had 3 but I could see a large group staying there. Stock up on supplies would really help travelers

Absolute gem of a place
The winter beach experience was exquisite. The blue cottage sat furthest out towards the waves crashing in on the chilly beach. Walks into the cool air felt wonderful and dashing back into the cozy cottage for hot drinks was heaven. The cottage is tidy, warm, and dead quiet though the wind is blowing strongly. Everything was in perfect order and the host was accommodating and friendly. This place has everything you want. It is extremely well furnished and well kept. I can see how it would be very fun in the warm seasons as well, but the winter beach is its own thing, with a few walkers up and down the beach but mostly you have it to yourself. The beach itself was pristine with no trash in sight. All the usual restaurants and accommodations are open in winter and we had a great lunch at Waterman's and treated ourselves to a beautiful dinner out at the hotel Galvez. To summarize, this is a great place and we had a beautiful experience, wishing only that we could stay longer. Highly recommend.
