We primarily enjoyed the hotel for it's proximity to the beach. We could easily access the beach each day. The beds were comfortable and there were good breakfast options.
Areas that could be improved is the friendliness of staff. We arrived about 2:15 and were told our room would be ready by 2:30 or 3:00, so we decided to wait before venturing out. At 3:00 I went back to the desk to ask again and was told no it was not ready, but they would call housekeeping to find out when. I was not told an answer. Again at 4:00, I went to ask again and a different person was there. When I told her I had already asked twice, she just said, "check-in is at 4:00" She didn't apologize for the miscommunication or even smile. I just wondered why the first person didn't say this?
The other issue was that on 2 nights the people in the room upstairs banged around until 1:00am, so sleeping was difficult.
Finally, I did hear that people staying at the connected hotel (TRU) were only charged $10/night for parking while Home2Suites charged $20/night. Both hotels used the same lot, so that seemed unfair and excessive to me.
Other than these issues the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay.
