(You’ve) gotta get back to this Sugar Shack! Completely renovated in 2023, this beachfront beauty is sweeter than ever and we’re ready to welcome families & friends to this crazy little Galveston beach house!

The deep deck features a shaded spot to sit in cool Gulf breezes, and plenty of lounge chairs to soak in some rays on the uncovered half of the deck. Downstairs, you’ll find an enclosed outdoor shower, picnic table, charcoal grill, and all the patio space you’ll need for rinsing or drying off after a full day in the sand & surf. Speaking of the beach – it's right outside your front door!

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the open floor plan with gorgeous pale wood flooring, bright & airy white walls and bold pops of color found in the artwork and accessories. A deep blue velvety sofa has a wide chaise on one side, and there’s side chairs with ottomans for casual conversation nearby.

The fully updated kitchen boasts glam white Samsung appliances, a solid surface countertop, plenty of storage, and all of kitchen dishes, silverware, dishware, cookware, pots & pans you’ll need to prepare delicious meals of fresh Gulf seafood all week/weekend long! There’s counter height seating for 4, and a circular dining table that welcomes 6 guests to gather round.

When it’s time to rest your head, you’ll have your pick of 4 brand new bedrooms. Wake up to sunrise over the Gulf in the primary king suite equipped with a TV, side tables, and a modern full bath with a walk-in shower, custom tilework, and brushed brass accents. One queen bedroom brings the beach inside with its white color palette and weathered wood & aqua accents. The other queen bedroom is perfect for families, with a modern sliding door to separate it from the twin bunk room (also accessible from the living room). Kids will love waking up in the bunks, rolling over, and looking out over the Gulf of Mexico.

There’s also a stackable washer & dryer in the hall for easy cleanup, and the nearby full bath has a tub/shower combo.

SUBDIVISION AMENITIES

NOTE: This property does not have a manicured yard; there is natural vegetation growing between the home and the beach.

PARKING
Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles in the private driveway of this home. Per HOA rules, street parking is not allowed.

LINENS & STARTER SUPPLIES KIT
We want to help get your trip off to an easy start, so you’ll find a set of starter supplies at your home when you arrive: a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, dishwashing soap, and shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap for the bathrooms. For longer vacations, please plan to bring your favorite brands with you.
Sheets & bath towels are included with every reservation. Housekeeping places freshly laundered linens in the home before every arrival and will collect any used linens after you depart.

LOCAL & LOVING IT
We are here to help! Our office is right at the entrance to Pirates Beach and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Our Property Services team is available for guests 24/7, so be sure to call us if there’s anything you need!

At the broker's discretion, a refundable security deposit may be required before finalizing any reservation. On the West End, you’ll find miles and miles of beaches, birding sanctuaries, boat ramps, and great fishing spots (beaches, bay & canal) as well as restaurants, groceries, and convenience stores.

In-town attractions are an easy, short drive away – The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Galveston Railroad Museum, Historic Downtown Galveston, the Tall Ship Elissa at Pier 23, and many others.

We had no problems finding the home. It was just as stated. We had plenty of room. The location is great as we were there over spring break. There were no crowds or loud partying. We had a nice relaxing vaction. The home is located about a 15 minute drive from an abundancy of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We had a great stay! Thank you for your hospitality.

The house was amazing! Perfect location and so awesome to just walk right on to the beach! The management company was so friendly and professional. We will definitely stay at this house again and again!

Great stay
Sugar Shack was exceptional. Location on the beach can’t be beat. Whole house was very conducive to our family gathering. Kitchen was well appointed, bathrooms updated and great shower. Decor was lovely and modern. TV had all the apps we needed to sign in and watch the Astros as well as our favorite shows. The management company was so easy to communicate with and very eager to make our stay pleasant and seamless. We took our 11 yo border collie and were met with welcome swag when we entered including a water bowl for him. The stairs up to the house were very manageable and the house was one level, which we liked. The covered front deck was where I spent each morning watching the sunrise with my coffee. Views from the windows and deck were amazing. We would love to rent Sugar Shack again.
