Comfortable well equipped one bedroom apartment within a secure condominium with a large outdoor pool, sun-deck and guest lounge in the hotel zone on the west of Funchal.

The apartment provides guests with a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle, (hair-dryer, iron and washing machine).

The living room has a sofa, fully equipped kitchenette with breakfast bar, cable TV and free wi-fi.

Condominium parking is provided at no cost, (subject to availability), and a further public car park is close by.

The apartment is on the 6th floor with lift access and stunning sea views.

There is direct access to the coastal promenade for relaxing walks, jogging and for seafront cafes bars and restaurants.
Two public swimming pool complexes, (Ponta Gorda and Lido), with sea access are situated with a short walking distance from the apartment building.

The Madeira Forum Shopping Center is a few minutes walk up by the road with itĀ“s hypermarket, banks, multitude of shops, cinemas, cafes, coffee shops and snack bars. One street up you will find a selection of smaller shops including the famous CR7 boutique owned by the sister of the soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.

The center of Funchal ( 3 km) is served by regular local bus connections as well as an Aerobus service to and from the airport (23 km). The bus stop is just a couple of minutes walk up by the main the road.

Upon previous request taxi transfers can be arranged to and from the airport for 30 euros each way.

The apartment is in a very good location, close to the beach, shops, bus stop. The view is beautiful. We found everything we needed in the apartment :) The communication with the host was fast and he was always willing to help. I can only recommend the apartment.

Cleanliness and bugs

The initial approach was great, and the owner was very helpfull with everything. However the first night when I got there the bathroom was full of tiny little bugs (like flying termites or flying ants). I took some photos and sent to the owner which said she would take care of it the next day. The next day we had someone go to the property and clean everything and another person see if the problem would continue, seemed like it was resolved. The following days I kept finding those bugs here and there (near bathroom, or even in bed) but it was a small amount compared to the first night and I didnt bother to complain again. In my last night, I was getting ready to sleep when my girlfriend found a bag between the matress and the headboard. Turns out it was some cream and condoms. They had text in some foreign language so I would assume it was from previous tennants, what is odd is that the property was cleaned before I got there and even the day after the bugs. How can someone change sheets and miss the bag there twice. I have also taken photos from the contents of the bag. After contacting the owner she was very defensive and implying we planted it there (used stuff in a foreign language?). Then somone I met during the bug incident took over the conversation and was much more understandable of the situation. It was not a great experience overall though.

Nice place to stay

The apartment is nice and cosy, has nearly everything you might need for your stay. Very close to many restaurants, shops and beaches. The check-in and out was very easy, Annikka is an excellent host. The property will only benefit with a better mattress and a smart TV. Overall - good value for money.

An excellent place to stay

This compact apartment is perfect - good facilities, lovely views of the sea, snd Annikkaā€™s communication (pre-arrival through to check-out) was superb. It was really nice to have contact throughout to check on our experience - much appreciated. We had a car and expected parking to be a bit tricky but we managed to park in the lower car park for the whole duration of our stay, despite leaving and returning at different times. If you enjoy walking, itā€™s under an hour to old town - admittedly, there are some hills but itā€™s mainly on the flat. There are great swimming spots nearby - we really liked the free one by the Lido with direct access to a gorgeous Atlantic! Fantastic for cooking off after a hot walk. This apartment is quite small but has everything you need - plentiful towels, a washing machine, balcony for eating and pre-dinner drinks. Itā€™s very reasonable and Iā€™d recommend it for your stay in Funchal. Itā€™s amazing what facilities you can have in a small space and this is all down to Annikkaā€™s attention to detail. Weā€™d love to come back to this apartment soon!

Traumhaftes Appartement mit tollem Balkon

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem Appartement. Die Lage ist ziemlich gut. Zum nƤchsten Supermarkt sind es 10 Minuten zu FuƟ. Man kann problemlos nach Funchal reinlaufen (40 Minuten). In dem Appartement war alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wĆ¼nschen kƶnnte: Waschmaschine, Fƶhn, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und und... Wir waren sehr zufrieden und wĆ¼rden wieder kommen.

Tolle kleine Wohnung, in der es an nichts fehlt

Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Unsere Vermieterin hat sich sehr gut um uns gekĆ¼mmert und alle unsere Fragen beantwortet. Wir hatten zwei sehr schƶne Wochen in dieser Wohnung. Einziger Nachteil ist der nicht so gute Zustand der Gesamtanlage, um den AuƟenpool sind wegen BaumƤngel Absperrungen angebracht und Teilbereiche der Terrasse waren ganz gesperrt.

Magical holiday

This wonderful little apartment was a dream to stay in. Annikka has thought of everything you could possibly need and more besides. There was lots of information in the apartment for things to do in the area. I requested extra pillows before arrival as i need extra for medical reasons and Annikka made sure that more than enough was available. We would have no hesitation at recommending the apartment or staying here again ourselves. Thank you for making our stay such a perfect holiday. x

Bei unserem Urlaub in diesem Appartement hat alles gastimmt! Wir kƶnnen uns nur dem Urteil frĆ¼herer Mieter anschliessen. Das Appartement ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Nichts fehlt. Gute Lage, sehr schƶnes Appartement mit traumhafter Aussicht

Ruhiges Appartement mit allem was man so braucht. Supermarkt (bzw. Shoppingcenter) und Busanbindung gleich um die Ecke. Funchal Altstadt ist auch gut zu FuƟ zu erreichen. Es fehlt an nichts und ist ein guter Startpunkt um die Insel zu erkunden. Noch dazu eine sehr nette und unkomplizierte Vermieterin!

The apartment is fully equipped and comfortable, well placed as a base to explore , the local buses make it easy to get into the centre of Funchal. Wir wurden Frau Vayrynen sehr freundlich empfangen. Der BegrĆ¼ĆŸungs- sekt war auch schon im KĆ¼hlschrank. Das frische Obst in der Schale war sehr wohlschmeckend. Wir haben jeden Morgen das FrĆ¼hstĆ¼ck auf dem Balkon mit dem wundervollem Meerblick genossen. Auch die SchlĆ¼sselĆ¼bergabe bei Urlausende war unkompliziert. Wir kƶnnen diese Wohnung mit der guten Lage sehr empfehlen.

Well located with a spendid view

We really appreciated our stay in Madera and the warm welcome from Annikka. She gave us many details and she recommended many interresting places to visit. Breakfasts on the balcony in front of the ocean are really a great experience. The appartment is quite, clean and well equiped for 2. There is a supermarket at 10 mn walk. Pictures give a good idea of the appartment and its environment. I would definitely recommend

Small apartment with marvellous view

This is a very clean, well equipped apartment with excellent internet. There is a small balcony with comfortable chairs and a marvellous unobstructed view over the Atlantic. Annika kindly met us at the airport bus stop and gave us detailed information on the apartment. We had difficulty getting a good sleep on the uncomfortable bed and the sheets and synthetic comforter could do with a serious upgrade. The apartment is well located with great walks and shopping and restaurants nearby. We rented a car and had wonderful drives around the island. If you return much after 6 pm you will have difficulty finding parking in either lot. The apartment complex lacks charm in some areas but once inside the tiny apartment you will feel at home.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Funchal sehr genossen. Vielen lieben Dank an Annikka, wir wurden sehr freundlich mit Obst und Wasser empfangen und haben tolle Tipps zu SehenswĆ¼rdigkeiten und Restaurants in der NƤhe bekommen. Der Ausblick vom Balkon war traumhaft, haben diesen und den Pool ausgiebig genutzt. Abwicklung des Check-Outs war entgegenkommend und unproblematisch.

Perfectly compact

The apt is small but is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It's situated in a block of flats that is well managed, quiet with a pool and a small cafe. It's a 40 min walk to the centre of town or a 8 min bus ride with local tourist bus stops nearby. Short walk to some great restaurants and a local.shopping precinct. A warm welcome from the owners and open offer for any further assistance. A relaxing and enjoyable stay.
