"This place is so peaceful! Being able to see the water from just about every room. The pics in listing can’t even begin to show the beauty of this spot! Super clean and a kitchen with great utensils and pans, anything you need! Would stay again!"

"It was a good experience overall, other than a couple of guys inspecting the back of the property one morning. And we had yard work happening one morning. Later that week, both of the entrances to the cottage were being paved while we were out, and we had no way back to the property . All in all it was an ok experience."

"Cute little spot near oxbow. Short drive to downtown. Great kitchen if you cook. Neighborhood seems Soso during the day and strangely decent at night. Pretty ideal. Best deal the weekend we stayed even over all the hotels. Worked out great. "

"We loved staying at the Holt House. It's a truly beautiful building. It's like staying in a hotel from another era. The room was beautifully decorated with victorian decor and we loved it. It was also handy to have access to a full kitchen on the first floor where we washed some of our dishes. Overall, it was a cozy and quiet place to stay."

"We had a quick family getaway over July 4 at this house. The location worked well for us being just 10 min from my son and daughter-in-law’s home. And it was great to be able to be just a short walk from a good viewing of Portland’s fireworks. As other reviewers have mentioned, the house is on a well trafficked road and there is noise but there is a back porch and yard. The beds were comfortable. The upstairs rooms have low ceilings and funny angles that are awkward so beware any tall folks in...

"Amazing property. Lakeside view and quiet neighborhood, except for a few loons! Beautiful and comfortably appointed for a weekend away. Hot tub was a big hit and nights by the fires were just what we needed at the end of each day. "
