Parking instructions were not communicated on web. We did not see the parking instructions on the sheet provided by Fredericksburg Escapes because it was the last sentence of the driving instructions. Upon arrival at the property, there was one parking spot in front and it had a car in it. We assumed that we got to park next to the VRBO in the covered carport. We pulled in and before we could even get out of the car - we were met by an upset “owner” that told us we were not allowed to park there and that we needed to park out front in the allocated parking spot. We told her that there was a car there - and she admitted it was hers. She said she would move her car so we could park there. She proceeded to tell my husband how to back out. Once out front, we noticed the parking spot was very steep and narrow. Our car was low to the ground and it scraped the concrete as we maneuvered into the spot. The hostess, instead of being concerned about us and our car, she complained about us scraping her concrete sidewalk. Instead of letting us unpack the car close to the VRBO, we had to make multiple trips over 100 feet back and forth through a locked gate and gravel driveway.
Once we got settled in, we noticed the lack of supplies - 2 people and a 4 night stay with a very small bottle of soap and shampoo. Some of the snacks had expired best by dates of 2022.
We will not be staying there again.
