"Not gonna lie - Didn't know what to expect when we were headed for a cornfield - But there really IS a lake here and this place was PERFECT! Immaculate, cozy, updated and very very comfy bed! The cabin is darling. Water pressure is amazing. Instructions are clear. And honestly, everything you need is right there. It felt like we were visiting a friend - highly recommend! "

"Everything was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The night temps got down into the 30’s but the cabin’s heater worked well and we were very comfortable. A beautiful location. "

"The Chalet was exactly what we needed for our large family to feel cozy and rejuvenated. The layout of the home allowed everyone to spread out for privacy and personal space, while also allowing ample space in the common areas for gathering together for fellowship and group activities. The setting of the home in the hills and farmlands is just stunningly picturesque, complete with wildlife and gorgeous vistas. The fire pit area was a hit for making s’mores and sharing stories. "The unit worked out well. It was very clean and functional. The fireplace and deck were pleasant. We did not cook. The only problem was the second bedroom was up a narrow staircase. All three of us are elderly and couldn't negotiate the stairs. So the lone person slept on the couch."

"Overall most of our needs were met as a group. Sleeping spaces for enough people to sleep at least 6 comfortably & then some extra pullout/futon couches available. However a few issues we came across were - the cleanliness upon arrival specifically the presence of dead or live flies at almost every window. Upstairs bedroom the flies were making noise all night at least the first night of our stay. - the water must be well water because it smelled like sulfur every time someone ran the sink...

"There was 9 of us from five states that got together for 4 days. We mainly stayed at the house with one day taking in the village. Made memories. Negative thoughts were safety and cleanliness. The bottom half of house was not really that clean. Previous guests must have had food fight as there was cheese stuck to the ceiling and pull out couch had crumbs galore in the cushions. Should have at least one flashlight for power outages and more garbage bags and paper towels. Bathroom handle down...

"The property was exactly as described. The owner was excellent with communication. Everything we needed was at the house and it was a very quick walk to downtown. We are hoping to come back and stay again. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Ellicottville."

"Quiet, only nature sounds when on trails and near house. Pretty private, beautiful scenery, hiking & fishing. Stargazing is incredible here, LOOK UP! My girlfriend and I stayed at David’s cottage to unplug and unwind for our anniversary. While we found ourselves using the tv as Penn state disappointed us against OSU, that was the only disappointment during the wonderful weekend we had. "My wife and I very much enjoyed this property. It’s a beautifully rustic cabin that’s literally 20 feet above the ground in the trees. It’s set back in the woods but not far from the road and the town of Belfast. The place is well-built and very clean. You will need to bring outdoor chairs, your own towels and warm clothing if it’s in the cooler months. It was a great experience. "

"We’ve stayed here many times as we love the walkable location. Have always overlooked the fact that it is very basic, but now it’s time to update! Had trouble turning the shower on & the handle came right off! The TV was horrible, nothing in the room matches (rug, comforters, walls), there was food in our garbage when we got there .. all fixable things that would make it more pleasant if addressed "
