Nostalgia to my Childhood

This beautiful red brick farmhouse, built in 1958, is completely furnished with a 1960's feel. Everything was clean and orderly and every convenience was provided. I've stayed in many VRBO rentals and this one was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owner was very communicative, helpful and responsive. This is a great getaway in the NC mountains.

Beautiful Farm House Near Franklin, NC

This was the perfect choice for our group - we're family, 56 to 63 yr old siblings and spouses. The location is a peaceful country scene - pastures and cows and songbirds, property faces the sunset - every evening started outside, soaking up the countryside and sitting around the fire. Franklin has a great grocery, so we had breakfast and dinner at the house and lunches on our travels. The house was spotless, with many touches from the host's family - it was charming, and homey, and reminiscent of the country life we grew up in - it was great!

Peaceful home with beautiful view

My husband and I spent a week at the farmhouse. We were there for a family thanksgiving celebration It was perfect in so many ways.First, it was so peaceful!!! relaxing,beautiful Mountain View, clean, a well stocked kitchen, we had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was just the two of us and we would definitely book again.

1950ā€™s time warp

This is a cozy 1950ā€™s house that retains the 1950ā€™s look and feel right down to the avocado green sectional. I felt right at home immediately. Everything was spic and span with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. I was mostly able to navigate my wheelchair around without too much trouble but a wider chair wonā€™t make it. Overall an excellent stay

Farmhouse Memories

The Farmhouse was exactly as described. Ms. Margaret took great care to make sure our arrival was seamless. The home-like atmosphere was both spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for the cooking we did. The fire pit was really nice on the cool nights and the grill worked great! It was very special knowing this was the house she grew up in, and when admiring the view from the front windows, you couldnā€™t help but imagine what her childhood must have been like on the farm. The Farmhouse is also within 35 miles or less of many towns making day trips enjoyable. There are plenty of great restaurants in Franklin, which are included in the ā€œWelcomeā€ binder on the coffee table (add Lucioā€™s, Haywoodā€™s Barbque and The Kountry Kitchen to the list). We will definitely be back next season.

Fall Getaway

Convenient location and lovely home. We loved seeing the deer in the mornings! Margaret was wonderful and gave us so much information! The kitchen was fully stocked. Takes me back in time!

I love this house. It's in a great location. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Franklin. Very pretty view from the front porch. We would stay here again. Also it is easy for my mother who is in her eighties to get into. It has a ramp for the side door.

Amazing Farmhouse

Could not have asked for a better location. Close to everything and views were amazing. Home was decorated nicely, very clean, and well stocked. Host was amazing, very easy to communicate with and truly cared that we got the beat out of our visit. We will definitely be coming back.

Our stay was absolutely perfect!! The home is exactly as it is advertised - clean, comfortable, accommodating and beautiful. My mother is pretty picky but she was very pleased with the property - she was very comfortable. Margaret, the homeowner, is so sweet and I appreciated that she wanted to touch base before we arrived at the home. Our entire trip was wonderful from beginning to end and being able to stay in a very lovely home not far from my daughter was a blessing. The fantastic weather allowed us to watch a beautiful sunset each evening from the house. We have plans to return to this specific home on our future visits to NC. It was a wonderful time!!

A quaint farm house in the mountains.

We go to NC every summer. This has been one of our most enjoyable views and stays. The house is great and spacious and there is a farm across the way with friendly donkeys. The house is conveniently located near the downtown. We WILL stay here again next year (if we can!). We loved it.

Nice, quiet, country getaway.

The house is in the country and located about 10 minutes from downtown Franklin. There is a nice scenic view of a pasture and farm animals across the street. The house is roomy and has a nice big window in the living room overlooking the pasture. I would definitely stay again on a future vacation if its available.

Amazing views

My mother, my sister and I went down to antique in the area and just wanted a "home base". This home was perfect for us. Margaret was very easy to communicate with. The house was immaculately clean. We stayed in the little den most of the time we were there and the views were just outstanding. We ate at Ms. Lois and it was good but if you have time to go down into Dillard, GA, The Cupboard cafe was amazing. (Be sure to try their biscuits.) I have saved this property, so if we ever venture that way again...we have found a home away from home. Thank you, Margaret, for sharing your property with us "little ol' ladies."

A quaint family farmhouse with awesome views

My family enjoyed staying at this farmhouse. It has a large yard that my children loved to run and play on. The panoramic view is amazing especially during sunrise and sunset.

Another Visit Another Great Time

This is our second visit to this home. A very relaxing well stocked house in a great location. We enjoy this part of North Carolina with all its bueaty and great places to hike and get outdoors. The house sits in a pituresque setting and we will be back. Last but not least, Margaret the owner is pleasure to deal with, a genuine good person.

Weekend getaway

The location was perfect...close enough to downtown but far enough away. The home was very clean and the beds very comfy. We had WiFi and everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend. Excellent

The house was a wonderful farmhouse that was very clean and located near many day-trip outings. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans which was great since we cooked at the house instead of eating at a restaurant. During the day, we tubed in Bryson City, fished in a river in Franklin, hiked up to Clingmans Dome, and kayaked in Sylva! The kids enjoyed watching Netflix movies in the evening in the large living room!! Great house!!

A Bueatiful Place to Relax and Enjoy

Amazing house

The Franklin Farmhouse was perfect for our family. It was very clean and spacious. Lots to do and see in the general vicinity. We used the fire pit and the supplied wood at dusk, watching the sun set over the mountains and the lightning bugs floating around the yard. The host was just a phone call away and checked up on us to make sure we didnā€™t need anything. Will definitely stay there again. The Colledge family
