"The property is set in wonderful grounds and is well furnished. We had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. The fire in the lounge was a lovely focal point throughout the time we were there and we would love to return in summer when we could use the pool. "Had an enjoyable short break at the Maple Lodge. Hosts were very friendly including the cats and dogs. Lodge was cozy, clean and had all the amenities you need. Bed was comfortable and slept well after all the walking and trekking. WiFi was intermittent and could probably do with a boost but it did not ruin our stay as we were out exploring the surrounding area most of the day. "Returned to this property a second time for a large family gathering and once again it didn't disappoint. The house and grounds are so well kept. Both adults and kids can be entertained as well as feeling relaxed. The memories that have been made from our visits often come up in conversation and now we've more to reminisce. "Lovely big house and setting for the family, just a couple of things which would have made it 5* could do with a few more chairs in the living room especially if you have 6 adults or teenagers with you. "We had the most wonderful time staying here. The house was surprisingly spacious and immaculately clean. The terrace became a second room and we spent most of our time there, joyfully chatting and admiring the view. The highlight for me was the joy the dogs had with their freedom and trips up the field at first light. The views from up there are incredible. "Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size."

"Bank Cottage was a great spot for our family to stay the weekend. We loved the spot on the river and the garden was safe for our little ones. We didn’t have to worry about anyone falling in the Severn! The cooking and dining facilities were fine and we enjoyed the sitting area overlooking the patio. The sitting room at the back of the property was rather dark and we didn’t use it but I can imagine it being a cosy space in winter. As mentioned by a previous guest there was a smell of oil/fuel...
