"One of the prettiest resorts on the island! The suites are well laid-out and the nearby hiking path to the tide pools is great! Staff was very helpful. On the downside, the location is isolated and Carambola's dining choices are overpriced and not very good. Their food is average at best. There should be a poolside bar/restaurant for small bites and drinks, at affordable rates. If the food was better, and more favorably priced, I think more people would stay in the resort for dining rather...

"Beautiful location on the beach Physical maintenance needs some work, multiple broken light fixtures, internal, and external. No lights at night up the walkway to the room you had to use your phone or a flashlight to not fall. Cracked broken tile ant entrance to the room !! nice place just really needs a good maintenance support."

"The property itself is fine. The music at night is incredibly loud, although we were there during Christmas and I guess this is how they celebrate. The music went on until 4am! "

"If the photos of the place look good to you then you will love this place. If you own a pair of Birkenstocks and enjoy seeing hummingbirds you will have a great visit. Had a great time at the Inn and went snorkeling right at the bottom of the driveway. We had a room with no AC and just listened to the wildlife all night. Wonderful!"

"The view is spectacular! The ground floor apartment is directly at the oceans edge with a large patio. That being said, there are no lounge chairs and the furniture that they do have is not ocean worthy. They need to upgrade. The apartment itself is good enough as a base but should be scrubbed clean. Pots and pans dirty, shower in spare bathroom was rusting, etc. We needed the electrician, and he came in a day to fix the Stove/Oven. So, two thumbs up for communication. There was no mold smell as...

"We spent 8 days on island and this was the perfect home base for the week. It's not fancy, but it has updated amenities, it's clean, comfortable, has everything you need, (including beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels) minutes from Christiansted-but away from the crowds. When we had questions we just texted the owner and she responded within minutes. Definitely recommend if you're on a mid-range budget. It's worth every penny..."

"We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!"

"Poor communication! Jaymes needs to step back and let the lady do the business, because after all, this is a service. You pay for it. Nobody wants to drop “an unspecified amount of cash”, but still more than the cost of many hotels, to be told they should have just gotten a hotel because the host will only send coordinates which for whatever reason will not work with every guest’s phone’s maps.
